Aperrently ship A.I.'s only have a life of about 7 years before they think themself to death (its got something with rewriting errors, but I forget the details). In First Strike Cortana was worried that her life span whould be shortened, because she held on to the data from halo for to long. What if Cortana "dies" in H2???

I don't care if Cortana dies. I'm not sure about this, but I think that in Fall of Reach they said Cortana was based on Dr. Halsey's brain, so it would never die. Anyways, in the 'Making of Halo 2' video, Joe talks about a 'Miranda' character. Since it is also the name of a legendary sword, I wonder if it could be a replacement for Cortana? Or maybe even an evolved form of Cortana after a patch? After First Strike I'd say she was maybe up to v1.01
