So, you're getting the blue screen of death? What OS are you running on?

I have seen it happen and as a personal guess, you dont have enough physical memory. What are your specs?

Heyyo,

Hehehe, my reputation precedes me. :)

Ok, this can be a virtual memory error, or your comp hates the game. Right now I can't even run the "setup.exe" so it hates HaloPC...

I suggest you try reinstalling the game, and then getting the new v1.06 patch. If that fails? hmm, got another idea...

You said you have a new cpu... are you running those windows xp updates? if you have service pack 2, it tends to mess up many games, halo being one of them.. check the thread for sp2 issues at the top of this forum and it'll show you what to do.

ThE_MarD has spoken, now listen and you'll be fine. ;)

I used to have the same problem. Upgrade your video drivers. from http://www.ati.com Once you've done that, it'll be fixed. Dont worry, you probably have an outdated video card or something... same with me ... :'(

try doing a clean boot:
go to start, run, type in msconfig,
in the startup tab uncheck everything but your printer because of the usb thing
now on the Services Tab click the (hide all Microsoft services) box and then
disable all and reboot. Now try to run Halo.
this is a kind of safe mode but lets windows run normally
