Heyyo,
Heh, but yeah, tker's are ghey and ruin games. Bungie's being ignorant and ignoring our major needs to have a better tk banning code.. why? I wonder myself now...
I really hate the fuel rod, all n00bs whore to it and say they have "skills" when my 6 year old cousin uses it he can even kill with it no problem cause of how rapid fire it is... how is that skill? how is that now weapon overpowerment? HaloPC's a great game, but plagued by a lot of problems..... sometimes I wonder why I even put up with them... I played Half Life 2 death Match, and WOW, even at pings of 270 it's possible to play the game and pwn. They did a great job with prediction and lag-compensation. The netcode doesn't revolve around the server, it revolves around the clients. For HaloPC, Gearbox tried to make it server-based, which's why there's lots of problems like having to lead your shots with all guns. For HL2? let's say on your screen, you shoot a guy with the crossbow, and you hit him, and on his screen it shows you missed, cause your computer records your shot as a hit? the server does, so that other guy dies. Sure, the game's not perfectly in sync, but neither is halo, but at least it works great pretty much no matter what your ping is... sadly, unlike HaloPC...
Also? the physics are perfectly in sync. You can grab them, whip them, and they never lag out and never start to warp. Valve did a great job with this...Damn, cause on HaloPC there seems to be a lot of calculation errors which result in the warping....
For Halo2PC, for the LOVE OF GOD, make the netcode more client-based, cause it's leaps and bounds better than server-based, especially during firefights. I'm sure this's what bungie did with Halo2 for xbox...
I know, it's not easy to make netcode, and since I know barely and C++ I'm not gonna be all cocky and "holier than thou" kindof thing, but I do hope at least the netcode problems get solved, cause it can get to the point of you wanting to destory your monitor inna rage of warping or lag....
