If you go look at my last game of team Slayer on Sanctuary, I had 21 kills, 7 deaths.

Twice in that game we got the blue screen of death because people quit out....

Now I had the Sword for my first 15 kills (not all 15 were sword kills... some where sniper), and it was the first weapon I picked up...

So I should have had AT LEAST a Running Riot Medal or even a Berzerker medal....

But the game only gave me killing sprees because of the blue screen.

Grr damn this better be fixed for Halo 3.

Its because you went into blue screen.

Well I think it is rediculas that the matchmaking system ends sprees when people quit out...

Just another reason for me to hate quitters...

Yea I definitely agree with you there. That's some major BS.

yes i agree mate. i have that problem all the time... but recently, even if i get host, and i get a running riot, it doesnt say "running riot!" or show up on the HUD... then when i get into the post game carnage report, its right there winking me in the face... what the hell?

GOAT

Its only a running riot. If you get multikills at the time you get the killing spree, the killing spree doesnt show up.

It's not that MM ends the spree, it's just that the new host doesn't get a data transfer from the old host of kiling sprees, object respawns and weapon respawns. Why do you think there is 2 trains on terminal when you lose a host there, or that you can have 2 swords on Midship is host leaves.

One of my first few games on Live (a Rumble Pit match)... A guy went 25 and 0... On his 22nd kill, however, the game went to the blue screen as somebody quit. He flipped out because he knew he lost his spree, and his Overkill medal... He even said "Oh em gee" for which he was made fun of...

Anyway, the point of that anecdote is to say that the blue-screen resets all the sprees, so that is why you lost yours. That story is also how I learned the screen ended such things.
