Has anyone noticed that their XBOX that they bought back when they were still 300 dollars has trouble loading not just Halo 2 but also most new games. The screen that says it is not an XBOX game constanly pops up. Is there anything that can be done besides getting a newer XBOX?

If you bought the system close to launch, you are using a Thompson Drive. If you try to replace it, you void your warrnaty, and you have to resolder everything. Take your Xbox to EB, and trade it in towards the purchase of a new one.

All the new drives work much better, and are worth the money. Believe it or not, EB actually gives you a pretty substantial hunk of change for traded in Xbox Consoles, so it won't hurt your wallet too much.
