Kat: The real Noble Leadership.

I promise I have searched high and low for this info before posting, as it is very basic.

I just want to know how speech works on Halo 2 Multiplayer via the 360. How do I talk, When am I able to talk, which button do I push, is this different in regular vs solo, etc... Been all over google, the net, and searched these boards and am amazed I can't find this information. I would ask on live but...

Thanks.

when you talk it is proximity chat, then you hit the white button... or the left bumper to do team chat. Its just like halo 2 on reg xbox.

Never had a regular xbox.

Okay, so if I want to talk to everyone in a Rumble Pit, I hit the left bumper, but it's always on Proximity, so I can always hear and talk to someone near me?

Do I have to hold the left bumper?

u press it once, then speak, then it automatically goes off again.... you'll hear clicks when it goes on and then off

Surrender your skittles...or prepare to die...

I bet this is one of those people that has never played a level of the Halo 2 campaign, and maybe not even Halo 1.

Just when I was surprised about how helpful everyone was...

I picked up the first two Halos as soon as I got my 360, this past Christmas. I'm a big fan of campaign shooters and even enjoyed the whole campaign of H2, including the ending. I even managed a few legendary levels, which is pretty good for a casual gamer. I have buddies who played Multiplayer hardcore in college, and I am having a great time training up to pwn them when Halo 3 comes out, so I can't really ask them about controls, lest they find out I'm practicing. We're highly competitive.

It's surprising that someone would speculate I didn't play the campaigns, it's not like I'm asking how to change grenade types, I'm asking how to talk over multiplayer, which is like the only part of the Halo controls you wouldn't learn in the campaign.

But I think I've got it down now. Proximity always on, Left bumper broadcasts. Thanks to everyone who was actually helpful.

whats wrong with not playing the campaign? multiplayer is why halo is what it is, people surely would not still be playing this 3 yr old game to beat the campaign over and over. ive played the campaign for maybe an hour total since 11/04. i plan to play the halo 3 campaign that much or less.
