No one should flame you. It's not a repeated question, and it's an intelligent one as well. MC might put one gun down for a second, reload one, and then reload the other. Nice quetion!

OMG U SUX OKITHXBY!!!11

Maybe he reloads them at the same time, with one hand. And maybe it looks cool, too. Or maybe he reloads them one at a time, taking a little longer than usual. Who knows?

I've seen Master Cheif reload the SMG while holding a needler and he seems to sling the gun around with one hand and take out the empty clip, all while still holding the needler in his left hand.

Just about every thing I post is my opinion and nothing more. Be subjective. Respect other's opinions. Try to understand other's point of view.

I'm not sure what's worse, flaming or worryin about being flamed. If people don't like a post then they don't have to read it. Things are going to be posted more than once. There are only so many tings to talk about. If your question is valid to you it's good enough. If it's silly or whatever then people shouldn't answer it and it will fall down the list.
As far as your question. I thought the MC either dropped a weapon or put it up to reload.

Well im sure with clip weapons that with enough force you could knock out the side clip of the SMG or a pistol clip.

hrmm....

I have a funny feeling that you won't be able to reload both dual wielded weapons. I know the needler/smg combo showed the smg reloading, but not the needler. Follow me on this:

You have a one handed weapon, the smg. You see another one handed weapon on the ground, the needler. Assuming you just spawned and have only one weapon, you get the option to pick up the needler or to dual wield it. Now if you pick up the needler, you have it in your inventory, press Y to switch and you can use it two handed and reload, yada yada yada.

BUT, if you dual wield it, I believe that you won't be able to reload it, you will just have to fire it until the clip runs out and then drop it, like a one-time use thing. Almost like a power-up. There are the options of either adding it to your inventory or dual wielding, as well as the fact that when you switch away from dual wielding you drop your second weapon.

That means that when you dual wield, the second weapon is NOT in your inventory. If you were in fact allowed to reload a dual wielded weapon, you would lose the ammo in your inventory that was loaded into the second weapon once you dropped the second weapon. That doesn't seem to me like something Bungie would do.

Aside from the gameplay aspect, it wouldn't be realistic. No way the MC is going to run around independently firing and reloading two different weapons each with only one hand. Unless there is a shoulder strap or some kind of lanyard on the single-handed weapons, and that's just ridiculous.

The question is how does MC put the new magazine in - with most weapons the empty magazine can just fall out if you press the magazine release catch

The SMG's magazine lies along the barrel. It looks like the MC just thumbs a catch and the magazine falls right off.

I theory this would be easy to do one handed, but you would still need another hand to attach a fresh mag. And we haven't seen that any other weapons would have such an easy reload.

BTW, that makes me think, you don't ever see grunts or elites reload needlers, do you?

Either way I'm pretty sure you won't be able to reload left-handed.

Simple fact is if you can reload both it will take time which is why dual wielding is not always the best idea.

Another one:

How do you reload one weapon, when you press x won't both reload? that would really be a drag, you can't shoot, can't throw a granade, you are totally helpless reloading, basicly your a sitting duck. So would you have to keep shooting until the clip is totally empty and you automaticaly reload? There has to be a pretty good explanation to all this i think. I just can't think of it.

Some weapons don't have to use hands to reload, such as the plasma weapons, needler, but I don't know about the covie carbine. I think once you reload one, you set one down, and then reload the other.

i'm guessing that when you press X to reload, MC reloads the gun with the less ammo first, then he reloads the other one.

the good news is that the needler doesn't take too long to reload. i saw a vid where MC reloaded the needler, and it only took about a second.

HELLO, did anybody even thought about that the NEEDLER DOESNT HAVE 2 RELOAD
BUNGIE sinsearely said they changed the needler to make it a weapon that'll get used more, so why dont make it one uge shell so you don't have 2 reload the damn thing (so maybe it'll over heat)
But if he can reload a smg with one hand then why not a needler really!!!

That's a good point about the plasma pistol and rifle not needing to reload; a terrific advantage over ammo-based weapons when dual wielding. However, I think there is ample evidence against the possibility of a dual-wield reload.
