Halo is still rated as one of Xfire's most played games, clocking around 10,000 hours a week. It's not going to disappear without warning.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

xfire download Xfire is an instant messenger built around gaming. If you don't have any freinds who play pc games now, don't worry, you'll make them while you play. And the first thing they'll ask you is "what's your xfire?".

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Bungie pulled their servers quietly in the last few weeks of 2006. A sad time for Bungie rats. What will be interesting is to see what Gamespy does, and then after that, will direct IP still work. I'd be surprised if Halo PC was still going by 2010, but you never know. Despite all the flaws, the gameplay is still so much fun in its simplicity.

I really don't think they can stop LAN games. Playing over LAN has nothing to do with Gamespy.

The entire multiplayer system of Halo PC is powered by Gamespy, including LAN. Not sure what that would mean though if Gamespy pulled Halo. ...Shudders...

If playing over LAN is still powered by Gamespy then why was it that ppl were still playing with a direct connect over LAN when Gamespy was down?
