There's more good people on Bungie.net then you think.
Based on who I've played with, the best people on this site would be a toss up between Halocide, Orgasmic, Raptor, Deceiver196, Ape (back in his prime), MoB Death, and Envy.
Chilly, Critical, Lauzy, FK Pandemic, MLG Mark, JeEzy, Sacrament, and Deathrow get a nod too.
Again, I say this because I've played with these people and see their talent.
As for the question, I couldn't go pro even without button glitches. For one, the Pros have a better BR than I do (even without double shotting) and I'm not as tactical a player as them.
Going pro is about working hard for it. Take StrongSide- he was a match making player who heard about MLG through a friend and went a tournament and get wrecked. He worked hard and practiced as much as he could to get to where he is now- one of the premier players on the circuit (and a cool $250,000 contract.)
I feel so special. :)
Seriously, it would have been good to play with you guys more.
Back to topic:
Getting into the Pro FFA bracket just requires a lot of pure raw slaying skill, and a lot of practice. And slaying isn't just being good with a BR. I play in FFAs all the time where I have the best BR, and end up with most headshots and lose, because I wasn't playing complete that game. A great FFA player is great with a BR, great with melees, and great with grenades.
4v4 is more difficult IMO. Again, you need a lot of skill individually, and also be able to couple that with great teamwork skills. Plus, finding a team that you have incredible chemistry with is needed to go pro in 4v4. Again, an insane amount of practice is needed, not only to hone your individual skills, but to hone how well your team works together, and having your strats, etc.
Thats my short little summary of it.
I've played with some good people here, but not nearly enough to know how truly good some of you are.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Kevin randomly coaching a team at a tourny though. Seriously........hes got the perfect qualities for a coach, you mess up, he's on your back, even in Training lol.
