I use the BxR and RRx. I consider neither of the two to be cheating, yet I do consider super jumping to be cheating. The BxR and RRx both require a moderate amount of skill to consistently perform. You do not simply press B, X, then R. It requires a melee followed by a shot to the head. Many people cannot BxR very well at all; landing the headshot after you cancel the melee is critical, and doing so on uneven footing or in midair is difficult indeed. The doubleshot is far more difficult to execute than the BxR, and as such its use is limited to the situations where there is no other option but than to use it. Landing six consecutive shots from the BR on an opposing player, who is most likely strafing to avoid fire in the first place, is not easy. In BR games, such as MLG, without the BxR and RRx many situations would simply come down to who fired first. You cannot honestly believe that in any given situation that you do not get the first shot, you will be able to find cover and retaliate in kind, especially in an FFA match or against a seasoned H2 player. Furthermore, if you have landed three shots on an opposing player, you should stay your ground either way on the off chance a sword or shotgun (which take far less skill to utilize than a BxR), is held as a secondary by the player you are coming so dangerously close to.
The BxR and doubleshot are both simply ways of improving the margin of skill that it takes to win a fight. I really think that the sword would be seen as a much greater annoyance than the BxR, really, in terms of lack of skill required to use... I try not to use it, but I have been able to bring a game where I was down by 10 or more back to win by a considerable margin by using that blue blade. Anyway, despise those who use the BxR, RRx, and BxB if you must, Halo 3 is just around the corner. No problems such as those should persist, and you can all have your fun.
