God, how much do you write on a page? Is it about 20 words or summat, as im at university, and my essays are expected to be about 2000 words long, which in my hand writing (and on thin line paper) equates to roughly 5 pages of work. Im hearing about these 15-100 page things and im going WTF. All i had to ever right at school was about 4 pages long, and that was in my then larger handwriting.
What really matters is quality, not quantity. If you can produce a consice but well argued or good covering of the topic you are doing, and all the grammer is correct, the language is suitable for your age group and it is well structered, it will get better grades (or should do) than some very long waffle about everything you could think of. I remeber (i went to a successful British state school) that when i was 13, i was expected to write about 800 words.
This of course could be different depending on where you are writing this and if you are meant to cover the whole topic of Ancient Egypt even briefly (which i doubt), you could need to write a whole load of pages. Just ttry to get the important factors into your essay, not everything you can think of.
Looking at my own post I am realiseing that I havent structered my own reply very well or clearly. Hope it is still of come use.
