I have some pretty bad news for you, sir. It sounds as if your DVD drive is crapping out on you. :( It will soon begin to happen with all of the rest of your games, except Halo for some odd reason.

I know it sounds weird, but the exact same thing happened to my friend. Now a game works every thirty or so tries.

You know.. my XBOX is in that process right now. ;[ It happens most with Ninja Gai Den. Ile put it in and it just loads. After a few minutes I gotta eject then re-insert the CD. It takes a couple tries. Not thirty yet, but you know.. maybe four or five. ;[ The only game that poops out on me in the middle of nowhere is Morrowind.. and that's only when certain things happen or I just play it for too long. ;[

The warranty for my XBOX ran out long ago, but if your warranty is still good then I suggest using it. ;]

As weird as this sounds, I've heard from many people that boiling a CD will help. I wouldn't suggest doing it if you have well water or hard water, but you may want to give it a try.

I think it's your DVD drive, though. Thankfully, DVD-drives are getting dirt cheap nowadays. A 16x Sony DVD-ROM drive is only about $30. Replacing it's decently easy. I would suggest using your warranty if you have one, but I doubt you have it anymore. All of the faulty Xboxes were the batch made right before the Christmas 2002 Xboxes were made.
