*looks at Iraq* the bombs didn't hit too presice there. As for the armor, how on earth are they going to do that? It sounds like it'll have to be airtight which sounds pretty much like suicide. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea but with today's technology I see alot lacking to make such things possible. It's like that chemical that bends light, was supposed to make stealthy units. They were supposed to be done around the early 90's and they're still no further.
Besides, how would you move around? The most powerful protection we have is various metals and they're pretty heavy. And as for loosing less troops, with the cost of such an armor you'll likely be able to equip less troops so it'll even out pretty much. It would be awesome if they could pull it off in the next 50 years or so though.
PS: NATO snipers use ammo that maims people to draw in the medics and finish those off as well. But why would what NATO use matters? NATO uses lots of stuff since almost every country has its own weapons. Besides, why test those? You should be testing the number one terrorist hand weapon, the AK47.
