I can't imagine crying over a pet. If it's a parent, then yeah, you ought to cry. That person, well, created you.
My father is a deadbeat. He never pays any attention to us, and mistreats my mother. He doesn't do anything violent, but he's just not a very good person. To help cope with that, I had a very good friend who was about 20 at the time, who was basically my father figure. Last year he was evicted. He might be dead. I wouldn't know. Without this man, I would be of lower intelligence and matury than New Mombasians. But time goes on. You can only grief for a couple of days before it starts getting ridiculous. I'm glad he's gone, now. I have the chance to shape my own future and personality with very little outside influence.
