This is the first time I've ever had a problem with halo. I accidently removed halo pc, so I re-installed it again. When it got to creating game folders, the game suddenly freezes and the cd keeps making a sound. So I cancel and eject the cd and put it back in and it downloades it like one file at a time.. it would take like 3 minutes just to get to 1%. I think it's doing this because the cd is really scratched, but then again I've used the cd before and it was as scratch as it is now. I kept taking out the cd and it got me all the way up to 97% where it says installing Timberland.map. From there, I haven't gotten any luck. Anyone know why it might have stopped there? is it because the cd is really scratched?

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

Scratched cd is the only reason I could think of. A case like this is one of the few instances I believe that pirating a game would be morally acceptable. Not of course that I'm saying you should. It's against the law and the forum ninja's are acting up right now.....

Yeah.. another thing I wanted to ask was.. suppose I borrowed the cd from my friend and used my cd-key and got it to install, then could I use my scratched cd to at least play multiplayer etc? The game starts up fine when loading, but just timberland.map is acting up.
