I don't like the forum layout. With the huge black line across the date and time place. Looks out of place.

Agreed. It feels unnecessary, and too dark.

I'm using a widescreen resolution, but does anyone else find the "reply" and "message" links all screwed up with regard to positioning? It's probably temporary...

EDIT: Like thus http://stevewalsh2.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Example.jpg
Ooh, A widescreen user such as myself.. I usually just shrink the browser window about 4/5 of the screen and it works just fine :)

I agree with that, however, I think the main page looks much better. It just seems a bit more organized.

S3NATOR has brilliantly taken the next philosophical and theoretical step, and advanced mankind once more. For that, I'm forever grateful.

I think the black lines help separate the posts. I like that.

It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a thin white line next to the ends of the post. Its the only thing that really bugs me about the new layout aside from the unbalanced grey box. that box should be proportional to the avatar.

I like this much better, everything looks neater and it just flows together when it should, and stands out when it's something you need to see.

I personally think that the location of the text that displays the thread's subject should be changed. It meshes into the top banner to much. Move the text into the gray area just below create new post.

I like the change, forums will take some time to get used to with the big black line, but overall good change :)

I agree.

Everything seems a little squashed.

I think that we might see some tweaks.

For example, I wouldn't mind a couple more pixels between the bottom line of the previous post and the top of this one. As it is, it looks like those links (reply, message, edit) are for the post below, not the post above.

In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Boo to the moving of the reply/message buttons, as well as the removal of the Forum drop down menu : (

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Why take away the "My Groups" button and replace it with a redundant "My Profile" button, when you can already get to your profile by clicking on your login ID? I worry that with groups being taken further out of prominence, their activity levels and participation percentage will suffer even more than they already do.

I don't love the bar of black void separating posts either.

I agree. The white line is actually a bug that should go away as your cache updates. It looks much better now.

I like the looks of the "Bungie Online" areas a lot and really can't wait until they are filled with more information. The front page where the news navigator thing on the left seems weird. Something to do with the colors/background more than the actual layout. Also, will we be getting new Bungie.net avatars, backgrounds and group themes? Right now we don't really have much in variety.

New site is nice. Will be a week or two before i can navigate the forums on autopilot again, but i suppose that's a small price to pay for the nerdgasm that is the stats system.

However..

The black bar looks awful. I feel it totally breaks up the feel of the forum. It's the only black on screen.

Ah, look at the lonely people...

Gah, this new layout is nice, but... it looks too tech-y for my tastes, like the old Bnet.

Some minor issues with usability, forum layout, ect... I'm sure those'll be fixed.

We know, my Groups was up there until very recently, but had to be removed due to a formatting problem. It will be back as soon as we figure out how to display things without said formatting problem.

We may move the action buttons for posts (reply, edit, etc.) to be right justified, but then again, maybe not.
