This apple is brown, and rotten. This orange on the other hand, is in relatively average shape. So the orange is definitely the preferable option.
----------You can't compare apples and oranges. You're so dumb.

Ignore this....

I like to Rollick

The black bar is a question mark, the layout doesn't flow well together. But I do like the filling out of the User Bar with quick links to the profile and stats.

Seeing the friends leaderboards return for Halo 2 and Halo 3 is nice, and the new look of the friends list is much better than it's previous incarnations.

The quote boxes not appearing, appear to be a problem with your browser. They show up on some people's and not others. Clear your cache and Control F5 a couple times and maybe it'll fix itself? It did for a couple people I know.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Frankly, I'm disappointed.

Placing the forums list back in the community tab seems like a poor choice to me. The forums here, along with news updates, are one of the biggest community tools. Why put them behind another menu.

Additionally, I dislike the black space between posts.. Pages are long enough, and they now just seem to lack almost any form of continuity altogether.

Also, something I've mentioned three times now since the last new site was introduced, the gamersquare on the top is still unbalanced to me with the lack of a 3rd icon. I don't care what it is, just put something there below the friends and mail icons.

We know, my Groups was up there until very recently, but had to be removed due to a formatting problem. It will be back as soon as we figure out how to display things without said formatting problem.

We may move the action buttons for posts (reply, edit, etc.) to be right justified, but then again, maybe not.

WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Just a suggestion:

Take out the 'message user' which is currently beside 'reply' and then place it under 'more posts from this user' and above 'group membership'. I don't know if this would work or if it would look better, but it's just a suggestion.

  • 09.19.2007 12:59 PM PDT

because if seeing is believing,
then believe that we have lost our eyes

The thing I need to get used to is which reply belongs to which post in order to quote. Other than that, it looks amazing.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Simply great. I love it.

Can we PLEASE get that background PIC/banner from the Bungie Online page for our groups? PLEASE =D

I agree. The white line is actually a bug that should go away as your cache updates. It looks much better now.

It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a thin white line next to the ends of the post. Its the only thing that really bugs me about the new layout aside from the unbalanced grey box. that box should be proportional to the avatar.

Oh alright. That explains why it is the only thing like it on the entire layout.

The forums list being in the community section makes far more sense to me. If you want to get to the community, then the forums, groups, and community news should all be under the same tab, since they all deal with the community as a whole. I always used to make the mistake of wanting to go to the community tab to find the community discussion forum, but it was under forums and not community. Now we have a less cluttered and easier to navigate interface.

The black space between posts also helps separate the replies, making it easier to see where one thing starts and the other finishes. Space saving shouldn't be an issue unless you are reading the epic replies or the replies of a spammer, which are rare on b.net. This layout is more appealing as well as keeps things organized.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

I love it. I still need to float around and see all of the new toys. Thanks for the update for me too.

Edit: Also the new friends list is uber sweet. I love the layout and having a profile link in there.

shhhhhhh

My two cents:
Some of the changes to me seem unecessary, and just create clutter. For instance, i'm a little bit disappointed on the removal of the "My Groups" button up on my login card, and the addition of the "Halo 3/2" things. The only other thing that's a slight annoyance is the rearrangement of the forums under "Community" and the new profile page layout.

Edit: After reading another thread, and following Achronos' instructions, the new site looks much better than I originally stated. The clutter is gone, and everything seems nice looking. The only real annoyance now is the missing "My Groups" button, the forum arrangements, and the position of the "reply/edit" buttons.

With some of my issues solved, I like the site alot more. 9/10. Great job webteam.

Suggestions:
*On the profile page in the signature section, maybe insert an edit button on the right side for quick and easy signature editing?
*Possible addition of the My Groups button.
*Put the edit and reply buttons back on the right side.

For what it's worth, I like this idea too.

Hawtness indeed. The forum layout still needs a bit of gettin' used to, though the rest of the site looks pretty darn cool.

<3. Thanks web team, looks good. The only thing I have a problem with, and it is very slight and was mentioned by Foman, is that ugly black bar.

\/ \/ \/ \/ Honestly, it kills the 'sleek' look to bungie.net. That's what I think anyway. Everything else looks amazing. Once again, thanks web team, and good work. =D

The new profile options are awesome, but they did something quirky to the forum layout.... everything looks too "off" now.

And the time/date seems to be in the wrong place.... the previous forum look was better.
