Green Chief posted this in another thread....

[qoute]Sorry, but Tex-Mex is WAY better than Claifornia-Mex. Fish tacos suck. : ( I'm glad I don't live in Spokane, anymore. : ) [/qoute]

I wouldn't know, i have never been to texas, or tried tex-mex. I prefer Mex-mex, since i live in san diego, and am only 20 miles form the border.......

you get the picture.

all i can say is lobster seaon in Puerto Nuevo baby!

Sure, Mexican food is good. Cheap delivery Chinese is good, too, until the next day. *winces*

No, San Diego would be considered California Mex, which sucks. Mex Mex would be from Mexico. Tex Mex is SPICY. California Mex has cabbage. And fish. Which is disgusting. And considering spicy is the best flavor, ever, Tex Mex is better.

Once again Green Cheif suceeds at opening his mouth and talking before his brain has translated the english he just read.

My post said mex-mex, said 20 mile to border (as in mexican/us border) and that i eat in Pueto Nuevo (thats in Mexico, 40 miles south of the border).

Once I have had a chance to try Tex-mex, i will give my opinion on it.

You're telling us that you go to Mexico to eat Mexican? Why not just buy it in San Diego?

I have to say that Texan food is easily the spiciest food I've ever eaten. This is coming from a person who has no problem eating a jar of jalepenos (too lazy to open character map). I think everything in Texas involves habaneros. Damn you, Texas!

No, I'm saying Mexican food out of California is California Mex. And yes, spicy is the official flavor of Texas. And I like it. I'm eating some od my grandpas jerky(he marinades it in tobasco before druing it. Delcious.) right now, in fact! Those who don't like spicy are sissies.

I meant 'drying', not 'druing'.

That's because tobasco is the best substance ever created. Along with Dr. Pepper, and McCormick fajita seasoning.

Wow, I guess they are right, California is like it own country, cause everything inbetween the coasts is pretty bizarro....

McCormick seasoning... thats a new one.

One Question. Since Tex-Mex would be made mostly by Mexicans moving to America from the Gulf side of Mexico, and Cali-Mex would be made by Mexicans moving to California from Baja Mexico, wouldn't it be better put to compare the two as Gulf-mex and Baja-mex?

Oh yeah, I kinda like cabbage in my shrimp/fish/lobster tacos/burritos. Also, plenty of spicy, plenty of non-cabbage meals...
