You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

In my opinion this discussion is pointless; the forums are all still hear and you can still use them so why bother complaining? It's only a few extra clicks.

Hey you saw my sig! :)
Their was a time when this was under a post. Simpler times; no Halo 3 Forum and no search. Simpler times. Happy about search though.

Achronos, you could always bring back the mildly obese navbar at the bottom of the screen... How is he doing?

;]
You do now that the former "Obese" Nav bar could be made smaller by pressing a little button on it right?

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

It's about convenience. Bungie wants to give the most convenience to the greatest number of people while maintaining a neat look to the menu. Since Halo 2 will lose a lot of traffic with the release of Halo 3, it makes little sense to keep it up there. Although it will still be in use, the population will undoubtedly be much, much smaller for a good few months after this. The Flood, on the other hand, won't so much. Why? Because the Flood isn't a game forum. The Flood is just an ordinary, talk-about-everything-else forum. Since the population is inherently less concerned with games, it won't lose many people with the release of Halo 3.

In shorter terms, it wouldn't make sense to keep Halo 2 up there when so few people will go there.

Even Optimatch shouldn't be there.

Oh yeah because discussing playlists for Halo 3 have no place on Bungie.net, a website that has forums dedicated to online Halo. Optimatch you have no place here, no place!

He said it has no place in the menu. Since he quoted my post, his reason is probably because it gets so little traffic.

Holy -blam!- I forgot about that bar!

Not to worry, it is doing fine and having fun.

It was taken out to the country where an older couple runs a farm where they let old and antiquated web-features run free and play in the fields.

It's better off this way.
I heard that the old navbar is doing great as a prized stud and has sired several champion baby navbars. Is this true Recon?

I think the Flood should be kept as visible as possible to prevent spam in the other forums, a la in the main forums list. However, I think it'd be nice if the Halo 1, PC, and 2 forums were brought into the main as well.

I was wondering as to why these changes to the drop down were made, I mean the addition of the halo 3 files is obvious, but I dont see the reason for removing other forums. I thought about it and it simply doesnt seem logical. If it is done by traffic I am sure halo 2 forum has more traffic than the underground, and if done by quality of posting, i'm sure it has a higher quality than the flood(no offense, but the rate the ___ above you threads speak for themselves). I was wondering as to why these specific changes were made.

In my opinion I think that the forums in the drop down should be placed based on their relevance to bungies use. By this I mean forums like the flood should be placed in the "other forums" section, the search functions should be built into their own drop down relating to the present search bar, and the items regarding bungie games should be replaced onto the community bar. It just seems as though the people in the flood would be more able to navigate the site, as they have obviously been coming here, while newer people who would ask questions on halo 2 wont know where to go. Overall I think the ease of navigation would be raised for new users if the forums they are most likely to use would be the easiest to find.

The flood, IMO is an "other" forum, as it doesnt fit any real category on this site, while halo 2 is a part of bungie's gaming history.
I made a suggestion in the Bungie.net Community forum on a way Bungie could improve this site's navigation as far as accessing the forums. If you would like to view the thread, click here.

Trailer Park Boys ~ One of the best Canadian made comedies ever.

Interesting description Recon.

I got a pretty good picture of the nav-bar happily dancing in the endless fields of yellow Canola with a slight westerly breeze and an orange sunset in the distance.

You should write a poem.

I would vote for that change, but I'm happy admitting that's mainly because I think the flood is a veritable palace of moronity and imbecilitude.
