I've noticed the Saved Film feature saves every game/level/session you play, then when you go to the theater/film/recent films it lists them with the option to save the ones you want to keep. I thought it only cached the ones you don't save until you quit Halo 3 but it doesn't and they are still there the next time you load the game. How do you delete the ones you don't want to save so they're not using unnecessary HDD space, I looked in the memory section of the dash and only saved films appear there?

Whoo, I'm loading the video now. Simply cannot wait for this!

Man, saved films are going to be sooooo epic. I can imagine it now. Kick some dude's ass, then act like a gentleman about it, and invite him to your party. Then, quickly switch it to that saved film and show you kicking his ass in slow motion over and over and over, making obnoxious "OHHHHH"s and "YOU JUST GOT PWNED!!" I'm sticky with anticipation.

[EDIT]
Oh man. Just saw the video. DEAR GOD BUNGIE IS MY NEW RELIGION. I've always wanted a multiplayer game to have replays that people could watch with you online. And have with a game as awesome as Halo? No wai! Me being the machinima director guy that I am, I might just have to buy a capture card to make awesome vids with this. Or, maybe use that trick with a digital camera or something.

And Forge coupled with replays online makes me a very happy person.

Times like this and games like this make me happy to be a gamer, and all the more make me want to seek a career in video games.

Oh, and the Halo score is my favorite music of any video game I've ever played. It's so easy to recognize, too. I swear, I'm going to be going, "Do do do DO, do do do DO, da da da da!" in a retirement home 60 years from now, and they'll think (see: know) I'm crazy.

Can't wait to play you guys on this.

So I can't save a multiplayer game by pressing X in the Carnage Report screen, like in the beta, and have to change to the theater, select Film, Recent Films, then find the film.

No, from what I understand, you can still do the X button method. The other way is just in case you forgot to hit X, and you wanted to save the replay. In short, it's there in case you forgot to save the replay otherwise.

Smoke if you got 'em

How long is it supposed to take to see your hi-res still photo on bungie.net? I took a cool one but it's not here.

Please tell me how because I can't see the option/prompt like in the beta's Carnage Report.

If the options not there and you're in a party then you have to leave the party to go to the theater to save the film. This doesn't seem like a very Bungie thing to do.

I do realize a small problem though... there may not be any more multi-matches without a time limit... as the video would be too large for hour long games. Am I right? Might be a slight (or major) drawback to the video.. although it will be freakin sweet

Does anyone else think that this could be the case?

Well, they said the average size is a few megs, and they've got like 90 terrabytes of room. Also, I'm guessing old unwatched videos will be auto-deleted.

Since the saved films aren't really videos, I don't think large games are going to be a problem. All they do is record the game data, then use the graphics engine to re-emulate the gameplay. It is theoretically really hard to get a recorded game larger than 25MB. It was stated in "Halo 3 How-to: Bungie Pro" that "...25MB should be enough to hold several longish 16-player games."

I'm actually having a problem with my saved games, as in I played a local game on my friend's 360, saved it, and attempted to transfer it onto a memory card to get on my system. It says it cannot transfer between profiles, however, and is really frustrating me. I want to share this film! Please help if you can!
