I went into a Big Team Battle last night at exactly level nine - nine and NO blue. After coming in first in a kind of big way (where I scored over 4 minutes in a 7 minute big team land grab) I am exactly - level nine and NO blue.

I got exactly zero experience for this game - it was probably my best performance ever in a halo 2 match!! While I am not contending for number 1 on the planet here, I was hoping to buffer my level 9 so that I wouldn't be 8 again after a single bad game...

Anyone else ever seen this happen?!?!?!?

I'm not shooting for feeling good about myself by way of having a high Halo 2 ranking - I played in a game with four lvl 12 players a few nights ago and not only did I get a glimpse of the really tight teamwork I have always longed for but I saw at once the very clear difference between a tight team and a bunch of people just running around doing their own thing.

I have had great games win or lose but sometimes I wait three days to have a half hour of playtime and play two games with kids who quit or run around aimlessly. The only way to get into the tight teamwork groups is to level whether we like it or not. I have zero desire to be level 50. I think few players will reach level 30 - most will end up around 15 and I have no qualm doing just that if it means I'll get to win with good teams and lose to same.

Sorry I posted this in the wrong place - wish you could just move it.
