Map Title: Dust n' Echoes
This map will take place in a now abandoned war-torn section of a human metropolis. First off, the "battle-field" for the map will take place in large "courtyard" basically set in the middle of the map. This battle-field will contain many destructible columns and rises to gain advantage over your opponents. The Convenant have abandoned this sector of this city, leaving their ghosts, and other weapons behind. This will simply add flavor and history to the map. Also, tall buildings will surround the area. However, only two of these building are accessable to the player. To give a visual of this to you, imagine that your are over-ooking the center of the courtyard in a sky view. In the top left of this view will be one accessable building, and to the bottom right the other. You guessed it, red base and blue base. The bases will have approximately 1-2 possibly 3 levels. On the highest levels, there will be a few broken windows looking out over the courtyard, to where you may snipe. Also at the base of these levels will be a "old parking lot" with a advanced yet abandoned gate to where it restricts access to the first and lowest lelel of the building to enemy vehicles. You must activate the switch located somewhere of the outskirts of the enemy base to open the gate, or use brute-force ( meaning that heavy artillery, alot, will also take out the gate.) I took some reference for this idea directly form the brilliant minds who created Zanzibar. There will be two alleys in the map, one located next to the "gates". These allys are facing away form the enenmy base, and is most always safe/secure form sniping, form most points. For those who would rather covertly enter the base, abandoned subway entries, are located strategically in the courtyard. In these tunnels there will be debrie (spelling? sorry) to destroy and hide behind, certain weapons and more. Of course weapons will be placed so that no team has advantage over the other. The more-elite weapons will be harder to get and such, etc... Whats great about this kind of idea though, is that it could have taken place in the game, your not placed on a random iceplanet in a boxed in ice-canon. This map could be most ideal for Ctf, as many plares as oyu want really, i would try not go over 12 per team. And also i think it might work for slayer or oddball due to its many screts and tunnels/alleys. Well, I think it would be a cool map (heh i better since i made it), but whatever bungie does its gonna rock. If you read all this, your way cooler than i am. lol
