I know Halo 3 is going to be the last of the Halo series, but new multiplayer editions would be great in the future.

No campaign, obviously, but a newer version of the Multiplayer system.

I still think it would be a good idea because that way we dont have to download 10 gigs to get a ton more maps and they can keep the franchise going without doing anything more with the story line, I know peter jackson is planning on doing some more Halo based games in the future but who knows when that will be or if it will be any good, so please Bungie, more multiplayer goodness for years to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halo 3 Survival mode (Must see, add to Sig)

I think that's great, a game that focuses entirely on Multiplayer, maybe it could be like BF2 / Quake wars where you have to strategically play, like secure this, hack that, destroy this, instead of straight up CTF / Slayer (though these could be added aswell)

And you can fly Banshees, use Hornets, Wraiths, Tanks, Warthogs, Spectres, Mongooses, Ghosts, Phantoms, Spectres, Pelicans, Shades, Shadows.

It would be friggin SWEET.

The only problem is that multiplayer-only games usually have a problem with pricing, and appeal. Shadowrun was freakin' crucified for having a $60 price point, and there are even rumblings that WarHawk is to pricey. Really, I don't know if the world is ready for a Halo multiplayer-only game.

Fight hard, break bones >{o

it wouldnt really be a multiplayer only game, it would be more of an expansion pack.

i would prefer just getting updates so i could continue playing the old maps and keep everything i'd done from halo 3. maybe just a big expansion like oblivion's last one (the mad island or whatever)

but ya, it would be nice if they at least knocked it down to 40$ but since its halo i'd doubt it would have any trouble selling at 60. the only way i could see justifying a whole disc would be if they upgraded the graphics.

The problem is price. I love Shadowrun, it's a great game. But it's not worth $60. I would (and did, thank you amazon.com) pay $30 for it, but I won't pay full price for half a game. A full game in my eyes is either an amazing single player game ala Bioshock or Oblivion or a multiplayer/single player hybrid like... just about ever Xbox 360 game. Multiplayer only games could work, but they would have to be cheap, but budget games almost always suck.

Should a feature that no one would say no to get into the game?

i dont want to make this a shadowrun discussion, but most people who say that have probably never even played shadowrun or is really, really bad at it.

Storm the Gates of Hell

No there wont be. if you guys would pay attention to all the clues bungie gives out you would know this. Their next game will be a Halo game but will not be with master chief. They said halo 3 completes the story of master chief and other halo games they make will deal with other main characters. There are other Spartans, so maybe the next story will be one of theirs.

Turn west on Broadway, and right at the second light on Welchester Road. There is a dirt path about a 1/4 mile way up, turn onto it. When you hit the interstate 56 sign pull back onto the road. From there take the road 38 miles towards Wisconsin. Get off at Exist 73 and take that street to Vermont Road, and take a left at the stop sign. Go down that street to the fifth house on the left. Go into the backyard and open the shed. There you will find my leaf blower, its yours to keep.

multi-player games don't fail look at unreal tournament 3 and all the unreal tournaments they are a big name in gaming.

Muliplayer-only games fail.

Sometimes.
It annoys me when critics bump a game down in ratings simply because it has no multiplayer/singleplayer element. Some people just use this argument to try and convice others a game is bad, as its the simplest argument to put down (apart from being uncontrollable *cough* Lair *cough*). I've had tons of fun playing just single/multiplayer games. I know I never complained about not having online multiplayer on my old N64! On the other end of the scale, sometimes multiplayer only games can be bad, but generally that is becuase of the people who made the game, rather than the game itself. I used to play the Battlefield series, but the lack of help/update/fixes drove me away from it.

I voted yes, but I would like to discuss the potential limitations. Look at Halo 3 Campaign vs. Halo 3 Multiplayer. Campaign looks better, not because they put more effort into it, but because multiplayer can't look better. The fact of the matter is, both of parts of the game have been tweaked as much as possible so as to allow good graphics and gameplay without overextending the 360's memory. So while a Halo 4 Multiplayer Extension would rock, it won't look any better or offer truly better gameplay options until the next generation of consoles. So yes, I'd love an updated multiplayer experience, but until the next generation, all we're getting is downloadable content.

As long as you have free updates and upgrades for halo 3 mp it should last much longer than annyother game out. New wepons new maps and such like also new abilities for this forge thing could b a good idea to keep pople playing for years to come even more ranks would be good to keep people workng at that?

I make a legitimate thread on the most logical choice for the next Bond actor, and you take that away from me by creating a parody thread indirectly connecting my thread to yours.

I hope your kids have bad influences and develop bad personalities. I wish this with all my heart.

MP only = good? Anybody remember Shadowrun?
