I know similar problams have been posted many times, but my case is slightly different, and i apologize for any inconvenience, so please don't flame. Im not trying to link a NEW gamertag to my old Windows Live Account. I CHANGED my gamertag, thru my 360 (twice, actually), but my Windows Live is still linked to the ORIGINAL GT... Therefore, i can't UNLINK the GT cuz technically, its STILL THE SAME GAMERTAG! I NEED (NEED) to re-link my NEW GT to either my old acc't or a new one, i dont care, as long as i can sign in on bungie and view my stats and shyt... PLZ HELP! Thanks ahead of time!!!

Subject: Gamertag Help! Plz Read...

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

There's no way to unlink, change, or swap gamertags linked to a Windows Live ID account. Once it's done, it's permanent. If you changed the name of your Gamertag via the Xbox 360, you shouldn't be having problems, as the ID number of you Gamertag (visible only to MS servers) is still unchanged.

Your unnecessarily lengthy post confuses me, though. You stressed so many different things that I am not sure what your problem actually is.

Please Clarify.

In their quest for user-friendly features, MS has completely stonewalled any attempt so change, re-link, or make any changes to the association between your GT and your windows live id account. I tried. It's not happening, you're stuck with your problem.

Haha sorry about the confusion, i was pulling my hair out trying to figure this thing out. For the first time in my life, i spoke to someone at microsoft that understood exactly what i needed and helped me out perfectly! the cause of my problem was i unknowingly had a different email attatched to my GT and i dont know how. but i signed in w/ that email and all is fixed. thanks for trying though =) SEE YA ONLINE!
