Why do these forums scroll terribly in Firefox while work completely fine in IE? It makes it impossible to read the forum when it takes 30 secs to scroll from top to bottom.

Same thing for me, too, and I'm connected at 11 Mbps. IE's blocked by a bogus security lock from a virus, and AOL kicks me off at 9:00, so I'm stuck with this. One word of advice for FF users: NEVER, never, ever repeatedly press the arrow keys. It's slower than hell.

Firefox is not supported officially by Bungie.net, a few things with how Firefox scrolls makes it hard for some people to use on this website. I'm guessing Firefox knows about the problem and may attempt to fix or patch it.

I don't see the problem, I use Firefox and I have no problems with it at all.

There's an option in Firefox that you can disable to make the forums scroll tolerably. Try adjusting your scrolling options, or just switch to a good browser.

Actually, IE, Firefox, and and Safari are the browsers we support, with IE 6 on Windows XP and Safari on the Mac being our "main targets". FIrefox has gotten better with more recent versions (they've fixed some bugs). We do try to make sure Firefox works on bungie.net though. However, the numbers dictate our primary focus: most of our users use IE, the next highest is Safari for the Mac, and then a mix of Firefox and Opera from there.

Trust me though, it isn't a grand conspiracy - this isn't an IE-only site.

Works good on my 3.0 ghz computer downstairs with the x600xt vid card, but on my other computer which i use the most a amd 1800xp+ with a gf2 gts 64mb it goes really slow. I heard it is just how firefox processes graphics or something. I would like to see it fixed also :\.

I can confirm that. I'm running IE. On a Mac.

IE 5 that is.
On Mac OS 8.5

And I only get a text-based view.

And I am unable to create new topics...
