I just fired up Halo for the first time on xbox 360. I have a widescreen tv, but halo has the black bars on the sides of my screen. Its like the game is still playing in 16:9. What should i do???
the bars are there to fill in the empty space when it fits to your screen, so it should be what ever is normal like 16:9 i guess. If you have like a plasma or a older one the black bars might burn into your screen.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying. You can play it in widescreen by going to your dashboard and into the system blade, going into the display settings and selecting 480p as opposed to 720p. It seems the picture will stretch to fill the whole screen in 480p, but not in 720p. Nobody has found any way round this, and it seems we are never going to be able to play Halo 1 in widescreen with 720p selected.
Halo 1 doesn't support widescreen. Why would you want a stretched and distorted image?
