Avant has all the functionality and ease of use as IE, only with a bunch of kickass features to help you avoid pop-ups and stuff.
I find that the MSN toolbar and Service Pack 2 help me a lot with popups and so on.
And, really, just what do you need out of an Internet browser?
An inbuilt search feature, anti-popup capabilities, and of course, the ability to browse. There's no need to have loads of pointless additional features that users aren't going to look at anyway. Therefore, IE is the best.
There's a couple of other things I want, and Avant delivers. Real tabbed browsing, for one, the ability to disable anything I want, etc.
One could make an argument that "simple things please simple minds", directed towards me.
But really, I know IE like the back of my hand, and can utilise it with a lot of efficiency.
