Does the Calibration tool come with standard editions of Halo 3?

No; all of them except the Regular edition

I'm assuming COLOR will go through the "Red - Green - Blue" optimum settings. Can anyone confirm this?I doubt it. Looks like the colour calibration uses a blue filter, which means it'll just have you set tint and the intensity of blue by eye the same way Avia or Digital Video Essentials do.

It will be better than the defaults, or the adjustments that most people make, but is far from properly calibrated.

The easiest way to kill all Covenant.

1. Put a sign on a door that says. Forerunner Artifacts here.
2. Watch them pile in.
3. Blow it to pieces.
4. Repeat!

The AV Calibration Tool is nice, but when will we get VGA 1280x1024 letterbox support instead of crappy upscaling. Apparently the cutscenes are letterboxed, why ain't the gameplay???

Will it work on an IMAX screen.....?

Is there anyway to adjust in-game sound effects? Mine are terribly too soft. When I shoot the assault riffle I want to be able to hear it, or when my shields go down, I wanna hear it. I hardly hear a thing.

seriously, i'd like to know where it is too! i just bought an HD TV last week and i think it could be looking a little sharper for halo. i noticed last night my darks were really dark, like hard to see people if they were in a darker area. i turned up the brightness through the options a notch and it helped. but i'd rather just have it lookin pimp as can be on the HD.

at work for the next 7 hrs, but wondering, where is this tool in the game??

A good person pointed me in the right direction put in the disc 1 from the essentials set and its under setup and credits.

What's up? I'm Anthony, from Maryland. I play a lot of video games, too many. Enjoying the Halo Reach Beat right now. Also Halo was kind of my life from the age of 11-14.

Halo 3 is everything I hoped it would be and more. It rocks, Bungie you kick ass. I'm sad it's the last Halo though. It's spirit will live on forever.

Just ignore the spoiler warning. They put it there because the documentaries, making of's and whatnots could contain spoilers. Just ignore those and navigate to the "setup" option. The calibration tool is there. The game does not include a blue filter, but what I would like to know is if the blue filter glasses available at the THX online store are the same thing. They're like 2 bucks and if they're the same thing I'll just order oneof those. If anyone at bungie can find time to answer that question it'll be great.

Bungie, can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a contrast option like the brightness one under options ? I have a rear projection tv which has terrible contrast, even adjusting the tvs contrast to high still makes shadows extremely dark.

Games like stranglehold have an amazing video/contrast/brightness setup, can we PLEASE get something for halo 3 ? the Av Calibration tool doesnt fit my needs, i need an ingame slider

Yo man. im having the same problem and so is my friend. Im hooked up to Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Surround sound system. Its my computer system but im able to hook up my consoles to it. I have it hooked up by Fiber Optic & mine sounds low as hell. like i literaly have to turn it up load to sounds good. Yet Rainbow Six sounds great even at low levels. As for my friend he is hooked up to a HD tv only and his sound low as well. So let me know if you found an answer. Im thining its possibly the dics. If so i gotta lug the Legendary Edition all the way back to gamestop :(. Hopefully we figure it out.
