Doubtful. If you have an Intel Mac, you can run any windows game.

But only after you purchase the Windows OS, correct?

Sure, but many people are buying intel macs with windows bundled into the initial purchase. If you are a "PC gamer" and you want to go Mac, you can, or if you are a diehard MacUser, you don't have to miss out on a game because it does not run under the Mac OS.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

Why would anyone by a Mac just to ditch the OS? It's not like it's an amazing computer with amazing specs or something. People buy Macs for the dumbed-down OS and becuase they think that they are part of some sort of anti-microsoft socail movement, so a die-hard buying a mac and then buying and installing windows vista would be contradictory to what they stand for.

first of all sergeant pepper, you are an idiot, macs>pcs. Secondly, due to the recent split of Microsoft and Bungie, maybe there will be plans to release it to a mac, i do not know if its true, but im just saying its a possibility. i do not currently have a mac, however id like to purchase one soon, and would want to know about this game. I do have vista, but i don't use it, because, well, it sucks... it runs way too slowly. I use windows xp and ubuntu linux. i have halo on my xp partition, and would like it on my linux, soo i can dump windows. .but i know that is definitely not happening... btw "As you read this, Bungie is hard at work on Halo 2," an old article from apple... http://www.apple.com/games/articles/2003/11/halo/

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

I am ashamed that you guys haven't posted this yet.

Also, here's how I view it:

PC: Good for general use, office purposes, and games.

Mac: good for multimedia use and some office use.

That's based on my experience with both.

You don't ditch the Mac OS, you can run multiple operating systems on a Mac. That way you can have your superior Mac OS for most of your computing needs, (darn near virus proof, etc) and switch to Windows to play games not ported to Mac.

BTW, Mac is the industry standard in my field, (graphic arts), and that's why I buy Mac. I'm not anti-MS, I even own MS stock. If I were strictly a hard-core pc gamer, I buy a kick-ass pc.

But this is should qualify as an amazing computer, IMHO: http://www.apple.com/macpro/

macs>pcs

Not anymore.

At this point, the only meaningful thing the Macs have going for them is OS X, and there's not much it can do that Linux can't do better.

Oh noes, he's an idiot because it is contrary to what you think? Can you even try to back up your claim?

I do have vista, but i don't use it, because, well, it sucks... it runs way too slowly.
Perhaps it's your 512 MB of ram slowing you down? I have 1 gig of ram and Vistas working pretty good for me, not having any troubles that other people are susgesting. Renember: XP was a resource hog back in the day too, and everyone was complaining about how they were gonna stick to windows '98 rather than switch to XP.
Secondly, due to the recent split of Microsoft and Bungie, maybe there will be plans to release it to a mac, i do not know if its true, but im just saying its a possibility.
Wow! Now that they're split from Microsoft, they can begin work on making Halo 2 Wii .

btw "As you read this, Bungie is hard at work on Halo 2," an old article from apple... http://www.apple.com/games/articles/2003/11/halo/

And where does this article point 'HALO 2 IS COMING FOR MAC LOL!' It means that Halo 2 Xbox was still in production. not for Mac.

i do not currently have a mac, however id like to purchase one soon, and would want to know about this game.
Then why are you fighting for it? You obviously don't use it day-to-day, so you can't make a full judgement on it.

***EDIT***
The Mac computer you posted above, saying it's considered good costs $2,499.00. The graphics card is only a 256MB (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT and even only 1 gig of Ram.

Except appeal to the mass consumer level market. You don't see people lusting after Linux. Linux has geek appeal, Mac has sex appeal.

WOW you are an idiot, i never even said i had 512 mb, i have 2 gb first of all, better than your 1 gb, so i suggest you stfu.

and second of all, macs are better computers in comparison to windows (security etc.) however windows does have its advantages.

wow this forum sucks, too many "know-it-all microsoft fans" and "Microsoft > everything believers" i hate those people. I cannot wait to get my mac.

He's talking about the Mac Pro. That's the thing I don't like about Macs. They are too expensive. Otherwise, I'm fine with them. I've lived with only a Mac Book for a while.

I wouldn't mind a Mac, but when I can upgrade/rebuild my PC for less than 1/3 the price of an equivalet Mac, then I'll stick with my PC.

Well of course macs are more secure, not enough ppl own them for any hackers to even bother with. If a majority of the masses owned Macs then your security would be out the window.
Answer me this, if MS was more like Apple and built there own computers for there own operating system and made it illegal to install said operating system on anything else but there computer would you still THINK that macs are more secure? Or better yet if a majority of the masses owned Macs instead of a PC, would your precious Mac be so secure then?
Everyone knows that macs and PCs both have their pros and cons, so get over you fanboyism and move on. BTW i own both but mostly use the PC cause of gaming.
Use your head for something other than a hat rack.

Wow, you have more RAM then he does, does that make you a better person? Nope.

And since when were Mac's better computers than windows based PC's? If they were don't you think more people would be using them? And if this forum is filled with "know-it-all microsoft fans and "Microsoft>everything believers" I guess that makes you a hypocrite. Since you seem to be a know-nothing Mac fanboy. and a Mac>everything believer. If this forum sucks so much why are you here wasting our time and our bandwidth with your pointless, inane gibberish? I've used both Macs and PC's and I hate to tell you that Macs are not better.
