As I am sure many people now playing H3 have found out. Using a wireless router is SUCKAGE! My Nat setting is "Strict" and after several hours of computer labor I am thinking that the only way to change this is to turn off my firewall on my computer. However, when I try to access my windows XP firewall settings I get a message stating "Due to an unidentified error, windows firewall settings cannot be accessed"

Are there any networking wizards in here who can teach my uneducated soul how to fix this problem, so that I can go back to shooting at people.

thank you

PS: I hope it's alright to post this in this forum.

Trailer Park Boys ~ One of the best Canadian made comedies ever.

I would contact the networking wizards of Xbox Support , 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they will assist you.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Use port forwarding. A guide can be found for the Xbox 360 here. Unlike turning off your Windows Firewall, port forwarding will allow just your Xbox 360 (or any other networked system) to connect directly to the internet, unhindered. This keeps your entire network, particularly PC's, safe, while your network-dedicated devices like your 360 free from firewalls and such.

The guide listed covers many common router models, and wired and wireless routers will function the same.
