You can either get an adaptor that has a male USB connector on one end and a female xbox controller port on the other (the circular one from the breakaway wire) or you can buy a USB extension cable and strip off one end of that and the controller and solder them together, but that's harder and you can't use your Xbox controller anymore.

Here's a link to that wire though http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=83&products_id= 2701&

I ordered an adapter from www.play-asia.com a couple of weeks ago and it finally came. Tried it out for the first time last night and it worked very well. I am still getting used to the slightly different style of play with Halo PC and the lag that comes with it but I played MUCH better than I ever did last night. Still nowhere near as good as on Xbox but getting better :). Only trouble is, is that I can't play Halo PC at my house, I have to go to my friend's and that is all too infrequently hehe.

I ordered mine off of eBay for $7 + $4 shipping = $11 total. Just search for USB XBOX or something like that.

Once you have the physical connector cable, you'll need to download some drivers to make it work. In my experience, the PSXPAD drivers are the best.

Main page: http://www.psxpad.com/index_e.php
Page with the driver download: http://www.psxpad.com/psxpad/minorupdate_e.php
The one you want is at the bottom, it's the bigger file (psxp_BBBBBBB or something like that). I can't remember the steps to install it. See if it comes with a read me file or something with instructions.

The PSXPAD driver is a lot better than the XCtrl driver. The XCtrl driver just feels weird because the right analog stick is too sensitive (I think). And the buttons are much harder to configure using the XCtrl driver. So the psxpad drivers are your best bet.

Just FYI, it's possible to assign multiple functions to each button. For example, you can make X your Action button and your Reload button. It won't look like it in HaloPC's setup menu, because when you assign one of them to X, the other one will go blank like it doesn't have a button assigned to it. But that's ok. Once you start playing the game it will work for both functions.

I don't know.

I don't know.

I don't know.

I bought mine on eBay before the game shipped. I haven't looked for it in retail stores. Personally, I switched to the mouse and keyboard a long time ago, so I don't really keep up with the latest info on the USB adapter.

I use my Xbox Controller to play Halo PC. First you need to buy a USB adapter off the internet. I use a program called PSX PAD that turns your controller into an HID device and therefore makes it compatible for a PC. I find it much easier to play with the controller but it's less accurate than some nerd with a mouse. I hope this helped you out.
