I think that with the latest Bnet update they needed to update their search engine because we should be able to search in certain forums and have more choices to help narrow down what we are trying to look for. I hate trying to search for my question and answer in all the mass of forums and topics, we shouldn't need to post a new topic just to answer a question that has been answered so many times before (I bet someone has already noticed this and asked the same question somewhere). I try doing a search and instead of getting an answer about halo 3 I get the specs of a really old post about halo 2. Also with the new halo 3 file share option I would like an option in this "advance search" to help locate certain pics and film clips, the file share is an awesome idea but with everyone posting so much stuff it is starting to get kind of hard to find things that we might enjoy like someones truly awesome map varient for example. I am still wondering how Bungie finds the great map varients, clips and screenshots among all of the stuff in each of those forums to post in their Favorites sectoin or do they just post their own stuff. Heck the group finder search engine seems to have the right idea where it can search for a lot of things and in certain areas such as certain names and locations.
Is there another option that I am not seeing or can we have an advance search in the near future that sorts the search between each of the forums, sort out results by date topic was created or last posted, and to better sort through all of those Halo 3 file forums. Any other suggestions to add to the search engine or it's results please post here and hopefully we can see something soon.
lastly I would like to thank everyone who makes Bungie.net possible, I know you had to do a lot of work to get all of these features up and working for Halo 3 and I noticed you haven't gotten a lot of credit for working during crunch time before the release of Halo 3. While it seemed like most of the Halo 3 staff were done the month before release you were still trying to get Bnet up and running for launch, Thank You!!!
