Hi,

first of all, we thank you to pay attention of us. We are youngs game-makers, unconditional fans of this ludic leasure, and especialy the game Halo. We decided to write to you in order to clear up our fan project of game per internet navigator, baptized Halo-Battle, and also approach some points which seem important to us to clear up, and in order to avoid any future litigation.

Halo-Battle is a project on which we have worked firmly for a whole year. This game is intented to be played by a simple internet navigator, in the line of glorious titles like Ogame. This project is entirely caried out voluntarily, by a team of young daring and ambitious people having wanted to share their passion, Halo, to the maximum of possible people. No member of the team is remunerated in any way possible, only the reward to see concretized Halo-Battle will be sufficient for us. Later, we would like to make Halo-Battle a famous game, and to make it known by the rest of the planet by translating it particularly into English.

Our project began since one year, when we opened our forum and our team began write the game-code. For the project has started, we have constituted a community and reunited a large numbers of members around our goal. Halo-Battle means a lot of thing for us, not only the game staff but for members too and the waiting for the release is harder after every day that passes and because we know that the end is near.

At this date, the project is praticly finish and we are actually working on the last details of the game. We, since the beginning, have pass trought a lots of difficulty but with the help of ours members and fans, we always been able to continued our project. Nevertheless, to achieve our dream, we don’t only need your authorisation but we need to inform you of a certain thing that could create litigation.

This thing is about the Halo licence. As the articles concerning the legislation of the intellectual properties relative to the copyrights, we can’t use legally the Halo licence, even if it’s a fan creation, so we would like to have, if possible, the right to use the Halo trademark for our game and only for this one, and in total legality.

Thank you very much to have listened to us and we hope to have a fast answer so we would be able to launch our game.

The world will be under our domination !

Well, I would like to offer some advice. First off, Bungie Studios is owned by Microsoft, if you think the mega-corporation is going to lend you the Halo trademark...you must be crazy. Plus I cant even read anything on your site, so I doubt the people at Bungie or M$ will give you any sort of chance to get your foot in the door per-say, if they cant even translate the language on your site. Good Hunting.

Hi,

I'm Kane, one of the moderator of HB, and I will try to explain some of our own vision about our project.

first, we don't realy want a trademark like enssemble studio, because first of all, we don't want to make any money from our game, it's a fan project by fan for fan and actualy we are interest in a authorization to use element that are under the copyrights of Bungie and/or Microsoft corporation.

now the language problem, first, Microsoft have a french departement, and second, we have some people that speek english in our team, like me.

to end this answer, i will try to explain why we want that authorization:

do you remember Halogen? It's was a mod for c&c general and they never add a confirmation to continued their project from microsoft or bungie and one day, Miscrosoft came and ask to closed their project. So, it's that kind of thing that we want to avoid by a authorization.

On another side, our project, is also some kind of publicity for Microsoft and Bungie, some of our members are halo fans but their is a other people that didn't realy know halo and became fan of it after been in contact with our community.

I wish I have answer to a few question at least

to pleasure to talk to you another day

Kane
