Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Try to use a bit of judgment next time. If something has is being discussed, or has been discussed very recently, say within the last 3 days or so, then you should use the old thread. But reviving a month old thread is usually pretty pointless, since it brings back an old conversation that the original posters don't even remember, and it's hard to have a conversation with someone from a month ago.

Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to figure out which way is best. When that's the case, the first thing you should do is ask yourself if you really even need to be posting anything at all. If what you want to say is very minor, then just forget about it and move on. If it's enough to warrant a new thread (In other words, brings up some topic that wasn't discussed last time), then go ahead and make a new thread.

Edit: ...are you stupid or something? Your post history goes back less than a week, and no posts are in the flood. You're obviously using an account to get around a blacklist, and now you call attention to the fact with this thread?

In my book an old thread in the flood is anything that's been inactive for more than 48 hours or is no longer relevant. For the likes of the underground and the septagon, its usually acceptable to bump slightly older posts, as those forums generally have fewer posts, but they're usually of a higher quality. Even then, its best not to go beyond the front page, as things lose relevance quickly.

As for true necroposting - we dont have a problem with that here as all threads that have been inactive for more than 3 months are automatically locked.
