This is a four player map:
It is a map with a base in the middle and it has four corners.
A grunt starts in one corner.
An elite starts in another corner
A jackal starts in another corner
and a hunter starts in the last one.
The elite gets a plasma rifle, the grunt gets a needler, the jackle gets a plasma pistol, and the hunter gets the fuel rod cannon.
They all have to run into the middle and....

there would be like 3 story high buildings all connected by bridges in the streets below you there are vehicle and infantry battles shoot out the bridges (in tanks) connecting the building so snipers cant kill you there are turrets on street corners and one of those big gun thingies that you see in E3 2003 that you can control and shoot people with the level is knida like new mombasa but cooler and there are also a ton of weapns (and i mean a ton) all scattering the map and stuff and there are a ton of vehicles (and i mean a ton)

and when i say 3 story high buildings i mean 3 storys high not a number of buildings

ok here goes:

This will be a good map for CTF aussault;

You'll start with your team in a longsword/or covie thingie (inside the cargo room) all the vehicles for your species will be there (how many depends on the host and number of players)
Threw your intercom you will deside who will drive the warthogs who will use the guns who will sit on the side seat, the other guys will grab there atv's for good scouting and patroiling the island where they will land!
All the weapons of your species will also be there to get accept the rocket launchers and snipers they'll be in smaller numbers, example; there are more then enough smg's and battle rifles but only 2 snipers and 2 rocket launchers (depends on the teams size)
(same way around with the covies)
Also there will be transport vehicles on board (all the diffrent versions of the warthog and for the covies the covenant bus!

You'll have 2 minutes to get your gear and get ready to get in your vehicle!
Once you drop on the island's beach the doors open and everybody will race outside into the light, quickly the atv's will go forward to scout (ghosts with covies)
the spartans will be dropped on the right side of the island and have to attack the elites on the left side where they are defending the flag (also other way around) the spartans will have to fight there way threw the island beating the inhabitants (that are very hostile)
and the elites to get into the enemys base and get the enemys flag and return it as quickly as possible at the extraction point! and the flag carrierr will this time get picked up by a pelican!

There is no vehicle respawn, and your spawn will take up to 7 sec, some of your team will go on offense and take as much vehicles as they can some will stay at the actraction point guarded by a small fortress waiting for there teammates to return with the flag or get respawned and try again.

Rounds will take 3 minutes than teams will be changed just like in halo 2 e3 2004

The defenders will be spawned inside there huge base and defend the flag at all costs, they'll be granted some ghosts and a few covenant busses (depends on what team your on, elites or mc's) to launch a counter attack and stop the enemy forces to get to much territory towards there base!
the base will have some sneaky side doors to get in and an activation button to open the bigger doors to get more easily (just like in zanzebar)

The map will really have the look of the silent carthograver and be in some smaller proportions!

So here is my Idea, I call it "Retardation"(taken from damnation in the original except totally different)

the map is about the size of BG only a little wider. In the middle there is a huge gash in the landscape. On one side there is a big hill with a base in it and lots of sniper spots. On the other side is an underground base with turrets. The lower side of the map has lots of cover, whereas the side with the hill has almost no cover. The only way across the ravine is by two bridges (about the same in length and width as the bridge in the cavern of aotcr). Both bridges are mostly destructable (so you can stop tanks but warthogs and ghosts can jump across). The underground bae will get the energy sword and the upper base will get the sniper rifle. Otherwise they are equal with 3 banshees per side, 3 warthogs(1 rocket 2 regular type), 1 tank, and 3 ghosts.

The lower base will have lots of tunnels that varea in width, some too small for vehicles some wide enough for the tank. There will be several chambers where the defending team can drop down on unsuspecting invaders. The flag will be in the top of the base (but you must go down and then up again to get it.

The Upper base will consist of a hangar and a few exits on the slope of the hillside. The hangar will lead to the rest of the base. The flag will be in the back of the hill base, deep inside the hill. Invaders have to fight in and out of a series of rooms to nab the flag.

The Hangar and the main tunnel in the lower base can be sealed with a panel near the middle of the map. Locking your opponents hangar/main entrance would stop him/her from using their vehicles outside of their base.

A lot of these ideas are long winded and include some options that I doubt will be in the game.

But here I go...

Variation: I would take Blood Gulch and give it towering walls that stretched up to landing pads on either side with a larger landing pad in the middle suspended by cables or something (It would look something like the landing pads and bridges in Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals). Then of course there would be a few banshees around to get up and down. And this is off the top of my head... I just like Blood Gulch a lot. =D

New: Perhaps some kind of dark complex that lets players utilize heavy stealth but also includes a good number of plasma swords. The theme of the game would be stealth... but when you pick up the sword you get some extra umph... but stick out like a sore thumb in the dark. Could be interesting.

my idea is ....

have a map in manchester, england

the main idea

1. have the european style streets.
2. the bases for blue and red team are soccer stadiums.
3.the soccer stadiums are a big complex so u have to go through stairs and stuff
4.there are going 2 be metro stations(underground train system) where u can take trams through the city. that is if u dont want 2 use other V's.

5. the map is not going to be that big jus enough to make it fun to use all the V's
6.secret under ground tunnels to use. u can use atv's down there
7. the flags will be in the center of the stadium
8. in the center is where theres going to be alot of v's/ in this map the only V's u get are warthogs, atvs and ghosts no tanks.
9. its going to be about the size of BG but jus a bit bigger to suit my requierments.
10. teleporters are important this map is going to have teleporters around the small city and also teleporters linking the underground with the surface.
11.the buildings will be accesable so u can look out the windows of some buildings.

i think this map would rock if they mad it

I like your first idea on this page reclaimer.
Ive always wanted to go into battle in a pelican like in Silent Cartograther but for Multiplayer.
It would also be good if you could grab your weapons from a armoury like in the maw near the reactor then jump on to one of 2/3 pelicans with warthogs attached to it.

Fun times they'd be.

My ideal map is a deciduous forest. On a night match. Every vehicle. Nice sniping points up in the woods. All vehciles. And plenty of trails for wart-hogs to make ambushes up in the mountains of woods. To bases on either side of the map. Loaded with every vehicle possible. Trees can be shot down blown up. Just like in real life. And when you shoot a tree dust will fly everywhere. Lights in a little town so you can see. You can be able to turn your light on from your mask. That's a pretty good idea of my level.
