Ahh. Another rant from yours truly. Where do I begin? Why is that shows that ARE funny, always got outlasted by shows that AREN'T funny? I don't get it! Could this have anything to do with the majority of our planet being run my media/corporate money hogs who repackage the same trash over and over and take advantage of morons who are stupid enough to buy into it? Yes, I think so. Here's a list of legitimately funny shows that never did exceedingly well, but shoudl have.

1. Family Guy. Hi-larious. Fox put it off and on for a few seasons. It finally got a good grip on Cartoon Network on Adult Swim. Many people still don't know what it is. They suck.
2. Teen Angel. This was one of the few decent TGIF tv shows from about '97-'98 years ago. It was on for two seasons.
3. Clone High. One of many MTV prime time cartoons that were replaced by complete crap.
4. 3-South. Another MTV prime time cartoon replaced by crap. I think it was the show where people competed in dancing.... Jackie Robinson Project or something. It sucked.
5. Aeon Flux. MTV prime time cartoon. Replaced by total -blam!-.
6. Daria. Yet another MTV prime time cartoon that never did well because people are stupid.
Those are some funny ass tv shows that didn't do as well as they should've.

Now, for the shows that DID do well, but shoudl'nt have.
1. Friends. One of the worst shows ever created. 'Nuff said.
2. Any sitcom that has ever aired on ABC. This includes: Life with Bonnie, that show with that fat guy, Two of a Kind, the George Lopez show(his stand up was hilarious, though), and Sabrina: the Teenaged b*tch, Witch, sorry.
3. Any sitcom on NBC. Except Frasier, it kicked ass.
4. Any sitcom on CBS. Well, King of Queens isn't TOO bad. There's worse. Becker is terrible.
5. Jaimy Kennedy Experiment. It wasn't funny.
6. Arrested Developement. Also, not funny.
7. America's Funiest Home Videos. No. The only good ones were when little kids beat up other little kids and/or old people. Because kids and old people suck.

Shows that were funny, and did well because of it.
1. The Simpsons. Side splitter. Sadly, it has gone downhill in the past four years, after they layed off a bunch of tehir good writers.
2. Soth Park. Just plain funny.
3. Seinfeld, that was a funny -blam!-ing show.
4. Married with Children. That show was hilarious. Heh, that's going to be when I become 35.

Well, that's my rant for today. If you disagree, shut up. If you agree, shut up.

You forgot Invader Zim. Funniest thing to hit cable TV since Ren & Stimpy. Too bad it didn't conform to the Rugrat doctrine ._.

Damnit. I skipped Fururama. Anything done by Matt Groening rules.

Invader Zim sucked ass. And so did Ren and Stimpy.

Futurama goes into the category: Shows that did well, and succeeded because of it.

That's the more known instance of it, but RATM borrowed lots of their lyrics from the old classics.

Know your enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated. - Sun Tzu, The Art of War

So that's it? None of the mods are going to post about rude my thread is? Yay! No one is going to complain that my views are mine only and I should think about others and what they like? Good. People complaining about my complaining gets old, fast.

I'm talking more modern shows. Hell, I thought M*A*S*H* was funny, but it's old. Anything from more than 15 years ago doesn't count.

Well, I bet you have been waiting ALL day for me to chime in....

I don't watch a lot of tv, so i choose only a few from your list to make comments on.
Family Guy: Agreed
Friends: the worst part about it is that they held out a few years ago for MORE money, and got it. It is a shame that people in this world love TV and the people on it sooo much to allow money of that kind to go to such a small percentage of the population. You, myself and Obbiquiet have no control to stop this either. We are at the mercy of corporate america, and worst of all, the morons who love the shows like friends. I think people have a sick freindship with the people on TV, and that makes them feel better about themselves to have Jennifer Aniston as a close friend they can spend time with on a weekly basis. GET OUTTA THE HOUSE, see the sun, talk to REAL people. Hows that for a rant?
Simpsons: Agreed
South Park: Agreed
Seinfeld: Agreed (gotta love taking the RISK boardgame all over town......)
Married with brats: Agreed
Ren and Stimpy: all I gotta say is "LOG". OMG I love it.

Yeah, the Log bit in Ren and Stimpy was pretty good. But that's it. I'm not ruled by corporate America, I'm in Russia, and Russia doesn't like America. :D
