Is that Nvidia card an integrated chipset? If so, get a real video card. If not, update the drivers.

What Obi said, and make sure you put your settings lower just to make sure you're not putting it up to high for it to be handled.

the 8400 is a low-end DX10 card for laptops. Its not integrated and it should be fine for Halo 1. I would go here to download and install the latest drivers.

Hmm, does sound like a lappy card, newer chipset? If not, put Halo on a low res, then put all the high demanding stuff to low or off. And actually put it on 640x800 res to see if to high a settings are it. But, I'm sure Static will be here to save the day within a matter of time.

Rip the heart out of your old computer, salvage the GPU, stuff it in your new one.

Use the rest of your old comp as a paperweight.

Meh, I'm not all that current on computer technological advances right now. I found something bigger, faster, shinier, louder, funner (is that a word?), did I say shinier? Not to mention it attracts the lady-folk like bees to honey.

While ingame turn it in the video settings, you may also want to do it for main stream computer use also, so right click and go to your display properties and change it to a low one.

Find your Halo shortcut, right click>properties then add -safemode (with a space) in the target box.

The card or the honey? If you mean the card, while it is rich in such minerals as gold and silica, it is meant and certainly better suited to be put inside a computer whereas it can process electrical signals and translate it into data that can be relayed to a monitor and converted into visible light. If you mean honey, you can eat that. It's pretty good with some bread.

I had a similar problem with Halo Trial (No, I don't play Halo Trial any more). I installed it on Vista and it worked fine. But I installed it on another computer so me & my sister could play over LAN, but absoloutly EVERYTHING came up white. The weapons where white, the scenery was white, players where white, vehicles were white, hell even the SPAWN POINTS where white. It was doing this because the computers graphics card was very old and wheathered. So my advise to you is this: Either play Halo on you old computer, or get a better graphics card. If it still dosn't work, look in ur manual and find the Minimum System Requirements. If it still dosn't work, hell, contact Bungie and see if they know what the problem is.

Thats not a graphical problem, its supposed to pixelate when you zoom in. Its a digital scope so you know, if you want to fix it just add
-DisableAlphaRenderTargets
to your shortcut to halo in the target section that will make it not blurred/pixelated. It also makes things more shiny, but camo will be weird and when you use night vision it covers the entire screen and not just that box.
(Edit: forgot the last part of the command, added it on)

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

-disablealpharender doesn't do anything...
