How many Halo games do you think there'll be following the main storyline (Not including super Halo Tennis) ? I reckon there'll be three at the most but probably only two.

I would say 3 just like marathon. And 3's a nice number to round things off. It can't end in halo 2 as there is to much to fill in one game.

I think it could be 3 because even if MC saves Earth from the Covenant, it doesn't mean that they will stop sending reinforcements. I think that if they make a third one, MC will scout out the homeworld of the Covenant and destroy it.

Not really. Say in Halo 2 the Halo no.3 unleashed a chemical that killed all the covenant, that would be the end. It wouldn't matter that some Halos still exsisted because there would be no Covenant to use them.

Halo was not created by the covenants so how would destroying the covenant on ONE Halo defeat ALL covenants? The covenant have a homeworld that needs to be destroyed in order to technically kill all covenants. Otherwise, they could just keep coming back with more reinforcements.

I was giving a example of what might happen in Halo 2 so that there mustn't be 4 games as there are 4 rings

I doubt that by destroying the Covenant homeworld you would destroy all of the Covenant. There is probably more than one planet that each of the species is from. The grunts home environment is cold and has a nitrogen based atmosphere which is different form the rest of the species. So activating another Halo would probably be the only effective way to destroy all of them.

i remember reading in the books tht the elites and prophets were probly the first ones and then they recruited the grunts and jackals from elsewear..so i dont think destroyign a homeworld would kill them all

what if you dont need to destroy the homeworld? Why not make some species repel? The Grunts, Hunters and Brutes are slaves to the covenent. If they all turned against their masters, the Covenant would have a huge problem indeed.

Yeah, and even if you destroyed all of their homeworlds, you'd still have to mop up the rest of their space fleet, plus all the other colonies they'd have on other planets. Granted that blowing up their homeworlds would probably suck pretty bad for them in any case.

-S

HBO Story Page regulars figured out some time ago that, given Halo's blast radius, it would take seven Halo installations to completely annihiliate all life in the galaxy.

Coincedence? I think not. =)

I agree with you about there only being 3 Halos, because the third one will probably have the Master Chief going to the covenant hameworld and blowing it up, if he dosent already do it in Halo 2:)
