Hello all,
I realise this is a hot topic but despite much searching I've failed to find an answer.
Up until a fortnight ago, we were running two Xboxes on the same router out of a single cable modem. No problems. Lots of Halo2 fun was had, and we had no problems with MM in any games. Before that, we had three Xboxes on same network without any problems whatsoever.
Now we're getting NAT headaches. So many, I went out and bought a new router yesterday, the linksys wrt45gs, as, despite Nottingham being a relatively major UK city, it was the only one off the Xbox Live compat list I could find :(
Anyhoo, we set it up, after much playing with the settings we managed to get one of the Xboxes operating an Open NAT, by setting it up on DMZ.
Xbox number two, however, is always moderate or strict.
We eventually settled on both moderate and were actually able to both get into matchmaking and customs last night, yay.
However, the NAT warning keeps coming up. Is this something we really need to give a toss about? Anyone else struggling to get two Xboxes going on H3 on the same router? Did anyone actually manage to get them both on Open NAT, and if so, how?
I ask only because Xbox Live tech support said it'd be a very painful and long 72 hours before they'd call us and even let us know if there are any routers which allow full customisation of NAT settings.
Thanks for any time and help in advance guys :)
