Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

Windows Vista itself is unstable [very unstable, actually] so it might be your Windows having problems with the graphic card.

edit. Check your manufacturer's website for compatibility too [if that's available]

Well, yes I just got Windows Vista yesterday, and I installed Halo 2 for it. Woo it runs fine and everything, (graphical lag in some levels) And I realize that the lag could be from me not installing my Graphics card. (Didn't think I'd need it) Afterwards, I install my ATI X850 Pro, and when i finish restarting, as soon as I click the "Play Halo 2" button, and after the newsletter thing pops up and goes away, my computer restarts...

It didn't do this before my graphics card, and I'm beginning to think its imcompatible. My ATI doesn't specify where to find the compatibility, and I tried Microsoft's website about compatibilities, but I find, hardly any information about my Graphics card.
I haven't tested this on any other games, since Halo 2 is the only thing I have installed at the moment.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

You are having a video adaptor conflict. From your post it sounds like you have BOTH integrated graphics as well as your x850. You probably need to turn off your integrated graphics in your BIOS. Also, make sure you have your motherboard chipset drivers installed. I have a feeling this is going to go completely over your head, but good luck anyway.

Also, Vista is not unstable, that is pure garbage rubbish excuse from someone who doesn't know anything...

You could also try simply re-installing Halo 2, it might be searching for a graphics chipset that is no longer available.
