Why can't we record campaign clips?

How come the Bungie AV Calibrator is 'almost' useless? It tells me to do things that are impossible, such as making Cortana completely blue.

Is it possible there will be a 'Developers Diary' for all of Halo 3's cutscenes just like the one with the Halo 1 and Halo 2 cutscenes? I enjoyed all of it and hope to enjoy another one for the final game.

Does Bungie plan to fix the spawn points? Im tired of starting up a games of Loan Wolf to only notice a guy had spawn directly behind me as i am assasinated giving that player a head start an everyone else a early start to the power wepons.

Is the "Believe" ad non-canon? It didn't happen during the Halo 3 campaign (I certainly don't remember being hoisted up like that), and from what I remember of the books, there wasn't really an opportunity before Halo 3 starts for it to have taken place. It was a great ad, but got me all excited for an incredibly dramatic moment that never came.

Are there any influences to the mechanic of beatdown/melee aside from lag interference on live?

And, if at all possible, could you guys give a brief (overly simplified) meltdown on what determines who wins on the beatdown initiation?

I'd like to know what happened to the handicap feature from Halo 2. It'd be great if that was back in Halo 3.

Rewinding saved films with the left trigger (or similar action to speeding up a saved film) would be helpful. Being able to jump to a certain time point would also make looking for certain moments easier.

Why was the Prophet Truth's voice changed for the game? I liked his old voice a lot better and the new one isn't even close to his voice in Halo 2.

Why cant save films, map variants, game types, etc be sorted by number of downloads and ratings? I think this would be a great feature add to the website allowing people to see what maps and game types are most popular (other than those listed by bungie favs)

so ive come to a point at level 40 in lone wolves and coming in 3rd or higher just isnt cutting it, is there a reason for this? do you have to come in 1st every game in order to rank up any further after level 40?

Halo emblems, my halo 2 emblem doesn't work in halo3 and it makes me cry myself to slepe at night, in a cornor, with a light on, no teddy tho :(

Anyway, will you guys ever revise some of the emblems? Right now, mine looks horrid, but i'm too lame to switch it up ><

1) The Game Rocks
2) Turrets in Custom Games that were placed in forge are unusable by the player. Why?
3) Could it be possible to disable the ability to take the turrets off their stands. I love the new ability, but it makes me weep that Tower of Power is not going to be the one-sided death machine that it once was.

Perhaps you should go sniff out the Forerunner terminals, they're a gold mine of information through nifty forerunner journals. A lot of fun to rummage through them.

I love when you guys publish stats. Any chance of you sharing the most-vetoed gametypes and maps with us? And will you be using theis data to update the matchmaking cycle (and hopefully lower the frequency of shotty/snipers)?

First off, Guardian is awesome, if played correctly. I would like to see a remake of more maps like you guys did for Zanizibar, like Lockout (more like orginial in addition to Guardian) Midship, Acension, and Coagulation. Second, I agree with the up button being the only way to talk to your teammates being very annoying, because it takes a hand off the control sticks and makes you have to stop moving somehow for a second. Third, can you guys make a jumping melee more powerful than the regular one, like in Halo 2? I think that would make the skill gap widen and help the game become less evenly matched, although some evenness is great, like BXR, double shot and BXB being taken out, thank you. I could do them, but it made the game more individual based, now it is more team based. So kids stop whining about not being able to be God and start working on your communication skills and group tactics. Lastly, can you make grenades more powerful and longer ranged, as in Halo 2, or I know you can, would you? I loved being able to take out severe campers with well-placed grenades. They were one of the best, and only, ways to take out great group defensive formations. Now its much harder since close range combat is easier and everyone can do it, if a team has great team shots its now almost impossible to take them out. Throwing grenades from a unshootable position was the best way to break it and run in. The game is absolutely incredible, worth the price and wait. Love the armor upgrades and variety for player looks, but I want the black color back from Halo CE. Love the sniping, makes it harder, more skilled, and less dominant. o ya, is there going to be more variety in matchmaking choices, team snipers, swat, double slayer, double objective, etc..., and big team slayer, big team objective? I know you can only have so many lists so you must choose carefully, but i do believe you have made the almost perfect game. A few months of feedback and touching up, and it will be perfect. whats been done or being done about people quiting. if people quit a game and leave you with 2 against 4 the odds are stacked in favour of the 4.
the 2 left are gonna get there kill death ratio screwed just becasue they had the balls to stick it out.

Just like 99.9% of the rest of the folks responding here, first let me thank you for the great work on a great game!

What could make Halo 3 even better?

I bet I'm the 1000th person to mention how much we hate the D-pad to talk "feature". I guess if you cannot or will not fix it, I can re-wire my brain and go with the "walkie-talkie" controller setting, but I'm hoping that you Bungie folks will fix it after hearing from so many of us.

Being able to sort community downloads by rating and/or search by name would be great.

Finally, please bring back the clan support. It really made H2 stand out from the rest as far as multi-player goes and is sorely missed in H3.
