Great job guys, with all its flaws the game still keeps me up til' 3AM and wakes me at about 7 or 8AM, but lets talk about some of these flaws.
Firstly, Co-op... Always ready for a run-through on Legendary but none of my friends or recent players ever agree so how am I going to find someone to play with? No search button or anything... I think that search button is a necessity for co-op and custom games.
Second, Matchmaking playlists, I know you guys ultimately will end up modifying the playlist but my suggestion is to seperate any game-types that damage the balance. For example, in the Team Slayers playlist you'd expect typically that the normal weapons are found on the map and this is going to be fun, however to your surprise you end up playing Team Shotty Snipers 53 times in a row which results in much unneeded aggrevation. This game was purchased to have fun with not to break things over. Many people, particularly in this specific thread do not like Team Shotty Snipers, or at least not that often they don't and it changes drastically the way you play... even though YOU are picking the type game that you'll be playing in matchmaking. Things like this should be seperated into their own unique playlist, or if they could fit somewhere else then that would be better, but Team Slayer ought to be just that.
Third, which follows matchmaking and is a minor issue I'm sure you've already corrected and are ready to release in the next update but, only the party leader knows which playlist has been selected until the search for more begins. Rather annoying.
Fourth, Video playback/clip recording needs a few more options. A smooth rewind is a must for replays... maybe not in campaign i understand why, but a skip back could be possible like the current rewind. Chapters like a DVD as others have said would be great. The ability to make short films by combining clips of the same film (to show different angles or montages even if you aren't able to disrupt the timeline, changing angles would be nice).
Fifth, the Forge Editor is a bit limited. It needs either an option somewhere to instantly empty out the map, or just add pre-emptied maps into the list for convenience. An undo button incase you're flying about and press the Y button and have no clue wtf you just deleted from your awesome map. Creating floating objects without using glitches, and maybe the ability to add "Jump Pads" or "Man Cannons". Don't restrict vehicle/environment creation to whatever is currently loaded into memory... let us use whatever we want. Maybe have some Download Content that adds some new items specifically for the Forge Editor.
Sixth, there seems to be a fairly constant issue with the File Share that renders it un-viewable no matter who you select or no matter who selects anyone else. This issue occasionally affects the Bungie Favorites as well... and speaking of which how do you get something you made into the Bungie Favorites?
Seventh, it seems in matchmaking/co-op or... well anything not solo I guess, explosions or bullet tracers or spartan laser effects just don't show up. You'll be driving around in a Warthog on Last Resort near the base and all the sudden you died, your Warthog is nowhere to be found and your corpse is flying 80 miles per hour somersaulting to the beach, a fix for this would be nice considering this makes it seem like someone may be cheating. And I'm not sure if these bugs are related or not but many times particularly in sword matches the game will acknowledge shield damage but beyond that no death will occur. I've hit people 5 times with the sword (pulling the Right Trigger, not the B button) and it will do zero damage to them aside from their shields get wasted on the first hit. It seems like they are pressing the B button with the sword whilst I pull the trigger and maybe there is a problem somewhere with communication that causes the game to think i wasn't pulling the trigger? Just an idea for where to look for the solution if you don't already have it fixed.
I think that's all for now, I definitely had more, but having failed to write them down I'll leave you with 7 (since you like 7 so much anyway) and sit patiently for an update... after that i'm sure I'll have some more input for you. Oh! I have one suggestion which makes it 8 sorry... add all the maps from halo/halo2 eventually, the fans will worship you more like Gods instead of just worshipping you like Jesus.
