Firstly, best game ever!
And now I have two questions:
1) I havent had this problem with my own gamer profile, but a few of my housemates have while playing on my xbox: They've customised their appearence and service tag and played with it like that without a problem over multiple sessions between which the xbox is switched off. They then comeback at some point, boot up halo 3 and their appearence has gone back to the default light green with a random emblem and service tag. Any ideas?
2) Why does the framerate appear to be less in multiplayer than in campaign, even though I know it isn't? I've done some tests using the saved film feature and slow motion with which I proved to myself that the framerate in both was a steady 30fps, but gameplay in the multiplayer maps just does't feel as smooth, even when offline and walking around alone (no other players in the map). This is espcially noticeble to me in maps like Snowbound and The Pit. I know that many people won't notice this but I'm genuinely interested to know the reason, and do kind of wish multiplayer felt as smooth as single player.
Thanks for any replies!
Edit re question 2:
I just did some further testing on this issue by taking a 60fps digital camcorder and recording some halo 3 footage in both campaign and multiplayer maps. I then watched the footage (that consisted of the player turning around in circles at full turning speed at sensitivity 5) frame by frame on my computer. I discovered that while the game ran at 30fps in both as I already knew, in multiplayer the frames often updated with an image from a previous frame superimposed over the new image in the new frame 1 or 2 frames later. This is what gives the illusion of a slower framerate compared to campaign, in which this did not seem to be a problem. What is the reason for this, and is there any chance of an update to fix this problem?
Thanks again.....
