If you're swimming in a creek, and an eel bites your feet - that's a moray.
I tried, Frankie, I really did, but when I started there were only 12 pages, and now there are nearly 40.
I realize that posting my question is an exercise in futility, but I also believe my questions have not been asked, and they are clearly better than the whiny complaints about "balance", "shotty snipers", the "sniper delay", etc.
Here goes:
1a) Will it eventually be possible to add ammunition sans weapon in Forge? In Halo 2, most maps had some implementation of this, most notably with rocket ammunition.
1b) In concert with (1a), will it eventually be possible to modify a weapon's starting ammunition in Forge? Currently, we can only adjust the "extra" magazines. I'd like to further limit a player's weaponry.
2) Is it, or will it be, possible to limit the number of players in a Custom Game, without limiting the size of the party itself? In Halo 2, we could "force even teams", or set up 1-on-1 gametypes which relegated the remainder of the party to mere onlookers (belligerent, noisy buffoons, true, but onlookers nonetheless). Some of my Forge/Custom games are designed for a specific number of players to be in-map at a time, yet there doesn't seem to be a feature which remedies this.
3) Will it be possible to "attach" items to one another in Forge (this question was asked earlier, but with different intentions)? My intention is to create bridges and/or walkways, but to do so I need the ability to physically attach one like-object to another (e.g. a crate to a crate), effectively "grouping" the two (or more) objects together. In addition, it would also be especially kind of you to allow us to place items with fixed z-indices - so that they can "float" without having to build a tower, then delete its foundation...
Those are my questions, but I'll also happily second some of the motions set forth by my erstwhile peers:
-- Can a Custom Game search please be implemented?
-- Can the "Lone Wolf" only achievements be simplified so that non-FFA ranked playlists will qualify as well? It's not just about ease of accomplishment, it's also about reality - players can and will chat prior to a game's start to simply get the achievements, whereas a team game will make both the achievement more likely, but more meaningful.
-- Can Guest utilization be optimized? Having to recreate a profile for a guest every time (or create a new 360 sign-in) is superfluous at best, and the signing-out process is every bit as tedious. I assume the problem is due to the 360's scheme, but surely there must be a solution...
Finally, I love the game, and even if all of the answers to my questions are "no", I'll keep playing, Forging, and achieving.
Love and Hugs,
--
