Why is the AR's range so long? I mean, the thing that made Halo:CE and Halo 2 fun was that the ease of use of the weapons such as the pistol and the battle rifle. If I start with a weapon that is the most verstatile and can take out almost any other weapon then where is the skill in using such weapon? You basically run at a guy shoot a few shots and melee. Spray, Pray, and Melee.
There isn't really any skill involved in pumping a few shots into a person and hitting them. Basically, if you don't dual wield against an AR you don't have a chance. If the battle comes down to two people running and shooting each other it comes down to latency. When I play halo 3 ffa, nobody really drops an AR because it's so powerful. AR vs BR isn't an option at close to mid range.
The cool thing about Halo 2 was that when you started with an SMG, you had to use your skill, and intuition to obtain a weapon worth using. And if you
I really like your first two Halo games but Halo 3 has become the biggest multiplayer disappointment of my life and the lives of several other die hard fans. I can't even bring myself to play it anymore. You say it's balanced. Balanced like a drunk on a bicycle. Now I will go play Halo:CE by myself and maybe Halo 2.
Please don't hate me because I don't like your game that much. At least it's up to par with Marathon. I really wanted Halo 3 to be my game. A game without button glitches (which I have found 3) and a game that a person who wanted to be really good could destroy the "play for fun" crowd while still competing hardcore with the "I'm gonna headshot your ass!" crowd. Why should pff people be able to beat the Ighya people? If I work for it why should they deserve to just kill me with a goddamn AR? That AR can destroy a sniper from scoping distance!! I've done it.
And why do I die from a grenade before hear or see the explosion?
I've had several instances of this and saved films to prove it.
