And I've posted about 60 times. You've never responded to the DETAILED threads that I've written, once.
The reason people are getting a little tired of seeing your posts, is because they don't address what we're writing on this very thread, is the problem.
You haven't justified blaming MM on people's internet connections, we don't have a timeframe for when this will be resolved, you haven't responded to the fact that all evidence (which we've detailed) would lead one to believe that their stats are gone forever.
So I understand that you're making an attempt, but what you must understand is that most of us just don't think it's good enough. And if what I have been speculating in this thread is true, then that would explain why they haven't given specific details about the problem yet. The features on the disk functioning properly and online MM functioning properly are what you pay for when you purchase the game. Those have been pretty solid so far (There were those out there that had problems with stuff not loading from the disk, and I'm sure they have been - or are in the process of - being compensated free of charge).
But again, the issue here is primarily with Bungie. We didn't expect YOU to just solve this today, we expected you to at least "get on it" which I guess you have done. But on Bungie's end, this is horrible. They should be ashamed. Not a word in a week on this but they keep making statements unrelated to it.This is standard practice with issues like this. If the people working on the problem gave us constant updates about what the specific problem was and technical descriptions about what solutions are being attempted, it would only spawn more useless debate amongst a large group of emotional people who have only a fraction of an idea (If even that) of how the system actually works. I guarantee you it would bore 90% of you to death and it would be a waste of time for people who are trying to do something more important (i.e. Fix the problem).
Nobody is asking for a technical explanation. We want to know...with a yes or a no to these questions:
1) Can we keep playing with the guarantee that our stats will be recorded just as accurately as everyone else?
2) Do you know for sure whether or not the data will return at some point? Yes or no. If you don't know, that's the answer. Speculation, is like you said, a total waste of everyone's time.
3) What's the statement on this effecting some, but not all players?
4) Matchmaking worked fine for us for over 1 week. Now it's not working. Is bungie's official stance on this that it's still just dozens of ISP's all around the country, and not them at fault? I haven't seen anyone comment on that again.
They can come on and answer that. They can make a post as lengthy and detailed as the ones we're making. I don't want to hear "but that takes away from the time they have to work on the problem". Stop it before I choke laughing. There are hundreds of employees at Bungle. I'm sure they can have 1 write the letter to us and the others just work on the problem.
