Wow - this is rediculous. Here is how you help Bungie to both resolve the problem - you provide detailed accounts of what is happening to you - when did your stats update and when didn't they.
They aren't posting an explantion of the problem - becuase they are still troubleshooting the issue. I am a developer by profession - and there's no point in trying to explain what's causing an issue until you know what is causing the problem, how you plan to fix it, and when you can have it fixed by.
Clearly the Forum sticky stating to use this thread so that the Bungie team can review all the issues in one place acknowledges that there is a problem and the Bungie is trying to trouble shoot it by reading our posts.
Stating what you did on the day things posted to Bungie.net - what modes you played on the days they didn't - in as much detail as possible - will allow them to try to determine what pattern of events is needed to cause the issue.
For example - I played Lone Wolves and Team Doubles only from last Wednesday through Saturday. None of those matches show in my campaign history. My Router has an Open NAT setting. I use the 360 WiFi adapter and a Linksys WRT54G router. My achievements show - my shared films show. On Sunday morning I played a few Lone wolves matches, but before getting offline I jumped into a Co-OP Legendary match with Campaign scoring Free-for-all turned on. My friend had to go, so I ended the match without finishing the level. All of my stats for that Sunday morning play session appeared on Bungie.net. The previous 3 days still do not show. I played again Sunday evening, but only Lone Wolves and Team Doubles - and nothing shows up. I played Lone Wolves again at Lunch today and got the 10 kills without dying achievement. It shows online, but the game I got it in does not.
Based on my detailed explanation Bungie might consider that perhaps Co-op, Campaign Scoring, or quitting out causes a Stat update. Where as the typical trigger for updating when playing Lone Wolves or Team Doubles is not working. I have no idea, I don't know how their system works. But I do know that giving detailed accounts of what works and what doesn't allows them narrow the scope of what is causing the problem.
Once they have figured out what's causing it, and how they can fix it - they will likely post something. Constantly demanding they post is not constructive to this thread - only providing information to aid troubleshooting is constructive. I understand your frustration - I feel it as well - but like it or not, you will get an answer when Bungie has one to give you - no sooner.
And there isn't a snowball's chance that this issue would be considered News worthy enough for any major outlet to care. A scratched product is one thing. But the game barely got any press even though it shattered sales records. The game does work, you can hop online and play, and my EXP and rank are correct when I play online - an extremely cool FREE stat tracking system that has issues a couple weeks into release is not likely to be looked at by anyone other than Attack fo the Show on G4. Mainstream media just won't care.
I agree with you and that's partly responsible for my vehemence on this issue. The thing is this...and if you read my posts you'll see it clearly:
I'm not asking for them to neatly lay out for us on paper what the problem is. If they could do that, the problem would be solved already. I get it.
What people are frustrated about is the fact that we ARE posting detailed information in order to help them and they're not even acknowledging it. Perhaps someone is reading it and then going to work based on what they've read from us here, but we have no way of knowing. One post from them could solve this.
Further, the issues that they've said they are "addressing" lead us to believe that they're working in the wrong direction...possibly. There needs to be ongoing dialogue between the community and the team working to rectify the issue. It's not just, we make them aware of it and then we sit waiting for a week with no word. There is a better way to do things...
That's all I'm saying...
