I know that Bungie is working a solution to the problem with stats not updating. I understand that this is a service they are providing that they don't have to, and I'm appreciative, even if the only thing they do is show the screen shots. That is useful because my roommate was able to save a picture I created and put it as his background at work (although I kind of wish there was a way to view videos from a PC so we can show people so clips or games without having to log on to XBL to do so). That adds a whole new element for gamers. I am also aware that it will take a long time for bungie.net to catch up with itself in regards to updating stats and medals. That is a nice feature, and makes it so my friends and I can compare how well we're doing. KDR is, in my opinion, the only real way to compare skill level. Obviously if stats and medals aren't updating properly (as in my case, some games updated, while others did not, with no real pattern of what has updated), it skews that comparison whether it be for the positive or the negative. I also like how you can view by all or by game type, so I can show my friends that I can handle my own in free for all, but do worse in team slayer because of team dynamics. Again, once all is well with the stats backlog, this will be a great feature.
However, my problem with stats is slightly different. I couldn't sit through 39 pages of the same conversation, so I'm not 100% sure if this has been addressed, but I'm seeing bungie.net not even being consistent with itself. I was going through my recent games, and I noticed that it had me as killing a flag carrier, but that medal didn't show up in my chest box. I also noticed that the results page is inconsistent. Some show how all of the players did, and some show only how I did.
One possible problem I'm seeing with my account is that it is only showing 73 of my games, including campaign. It shows 56 matchmaking games, and 17 campaign levels completed. The significance of that is that is the number of exp that I have. I'm pretty sure that I have something closer to over 100 games total (not including campaign which I've gone through 4 times myself, not to mention a few extra levels here and there helping friends with achievements). I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or if it is a potential problem, but it might be something to look into.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm not complaining about what is going on. I know that no one expected this kind of turnout for Halo 3. It will take time for things to level out. I also want to say that I do appreciate what features that are there, and I hope that the game is continued to be supported and improved upon. It is features like those addressed that might keep me playing Halo 3 for a while longer.
