The Tomahawk is a cruise missile that can be fired from submarines, battleships, or large cargo planes. It is used to wipe out area codes from afar and has been referred to by a Navy friend of mine as "miraculous." However, I'm skeptical about any improvements to the Tomahawk - the next wave is going to be the DDT battleships being developed by the Navy. They can divert power from their engines to actually deploy a real rail gun. It launches 3m long massive projectiles nearly out of the atmosphere, then they fall back down on their target with a kinetic energy release that can be compared to the yield of a small nuclear bomb. These projectiles, in simulations (wonder where they are testing them?) had a range comporable to cruise missiles, a little farther I think, and are accurate to within 5 meters. So, cruise missiles will soon be obsolete. Is this what he's working on, ObbiQuiet? The projectiles are called missiles. Oh, and this is not classified so feel free to tell us if it is what he is working on.
BTW, my uncle works for Boeing. Apparently, he had something to do with the new laser weapon system that will be mounted on Special Forces Hercules aircraft.
