bah

Congradulations. One of my relatives (ancestors?) helped out in a top secret project underneath some statium or something like that. All I can tell you is that it was codenamed Project BOOM! (I guess he refered to it as the "Manhattan Project" or something like that, even though it was in Chicago) and involved killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in Japan. My family line helped to kill thousands of innocent people, beat THAT!

Note: This is, to our best knowledge, true. The man really didn't speak about what he did when he was doing it. That had to do with the government not wanting nuclear secrets to get out of the country or something like that. Really, I fail to see why our government can't just share like good little boys and girls do...

*whispers*
Don't tell anyone, but it's a bean-powered rocket. My grampa who's a rocket scientist told me about it.

Seriously, though, my "grampa"(marriage, not blood) was an engineer who worked on at least one of the Saturn series of orbital boosters. It was long before I was even born, so all I could find out was that his children and grandchildren liked the models of stuff that he brought home and showed to them. He's still not retired, but I'm not sure whether he's still an engineer. He doesn't act his age at all- most his age are either growing old or doing nothing at all in thier boxes and urns. He's just about impossible to make be upset. His sons marvel at how you just can't get him pissed off. I know it sounds weird, but you'd know where they're coming from with that if you saw his whole region of my family...

The laser my uncle helped with can be adjusted to either simply fry electronics or wipe out area codes. Those "terrorists" (if you can call them that) are soon going to fear the Hercules cargo plane more than the Apache gunship...
